Think of it like this… Vega doesn’t really have alot of practical uses with his supers (other than anti air level 3) and he doesn’t have any great link to super potential. In A groove he can use his meter if he has to in order to react to whiffs but even then his CC doesn’t really do much damage. The main reason he’s good is more of a general thing. He’s a great r1 without any terrible match ups which makes for a good battery.
if they jump over a whiff rc jab ball and try to punish, A-vega would be pretty fucking gay in that situation.
so where would you guys rank n-bison
i think he makes for an especially good battery and has that break stock, alpha counter, super trickery (which is easy to avoid i guess)
just curious because my friend thinks that bison is trash in any groove besides a. he does have a point that any character can be a decent battery if you’re patient enough but whatever
Actually, I play Bison in C, and used to mess with him in N, and while not as versatile as A (mostly because it’s so easy to hit his super in A) He is still good in other grooves. This comes mostly from his solid set of normals, I mean I use probably every normal he has except for a few of the jumping ones. I also agree that he is an excellent battery, I especially like whiffed d.mk and rc devil reverse. As far as run goes, Bison’s is pretty quick but I prefer dash for crossup shenanigans. ONe good thing I used to do with his run is use it in tick throw setups and for some stupid wakeup games. I don’t really know what he can do off of low jump
but given that jumping RH is already a buff move I am sure low jump RH is would be buff as well. As for other N-benefits, that C doesn’t have like guard roll I don’t think his is really all that great since his roll is a little slow many times it gives the opponent time to react and proceed to rush you down more.
a vega because:
rc roll thingy is annoying
one they jump, free tripguard CC for about 5500 damage
fast walk
great dash
a hibiki is so top tier =/
Lol I brought this up like 2 pages back :P.
Hey Buktooth and Popoblo…
Any links to OTK “new and old” videos and what team is Ino using right now, is he using any new characters…
Ino has disappeared…it seems to be the fate of all K-groovers…
disappeared? so who’s the top K-groove in Japan right now…don’t tell me OTK still pimping in Japan in K-groove with Rock, Kyo and Hibiki and " hoe " slapping those haters in the house.
:lame:
I’m not sure. Buk, David, any word? I only know of Otaku as a big name for K-groovers…but I don’t pay as much attention as most.
isn’t there some other dude that played with otk? rage? i dunno
“hoe slapping those haters in the house”
best tongue twister ever
nitto (some people write it as “knit” but i’m pretty sure that’s wrong) is one of the most prominent kgroovers in japan. uses geese cammy sagat, and plays a really smart attacking style. you might remember him from old 3s videos using yun
his team (nitto, togawa and joe) tied for 3rd at sbo2k3. his shining moment in the tournament was a huge comeback against daigo’s team. both joe and togawa lost to shiro (first guy on daigo’s team), then nitto just barely beat shiro. after his slim victory over shiro nitto went on to pretty much put the boot to dan and daigo’s dome, advancing into the final 4
geese is super duper gay! despite this id still put k-geese like in the upper mids easily if not top tier.
Someone please tell me I’m the only K-Kim player in the world…
i dunno, for some reason i feel like picking up K-kim now.
I remember seeing some videos of Wong vs Choi (I believe) and choi was using K kim and Morrigan. I remember his K Kim being buff as fuck.
There’s no way it was Choi…
Kim and Morrigan in K groove…sounds like my old team…
Who else uses them…especially in K?
leezy has top k groove in amerrrrrrrica from what i’ve seen and keith has top k maki hahahaha
