Well, even though I didn’t make it to Friday’s session, I got to play TvC at another guy’s place. I love this game. I feel like I can actually easily wrap my head around it, and it’s a lot of fun.

The solution is to pick Daimao and mash out genie bottle super. But that requires three meters. Oh well.

Peter came through at the last minute. I didn’t reinvite everyone because I didn’t want to wait a long time between matches.
Peter lent me his stick (Thanks, Pete!!) so if you get a converter for Dreamcast just let me know whenever you want to get some matches in. I’m usually game.
I’d definately be down for a BackYard tourney. Would be nice to get to know the people in the area. As I’m still new to the Shoryuken scene. Definately have to be PS3 for me to be really into it or I might just show up for giggles.
A) Preordered my Tourney Stick from GameStop in early January so luckily i got in there in time.
B) A friend and I are going to enter that GameStop tourney at the Altamonte Mall location. How about you guys?
For those that care. Spoke to the Peeps at Rocky’s a few days ago and they don’t have an ETA for arrival yet, spoke to what sounded like an older lady.
However Adam apparently pimps out his place as a replacement so we’ll see what fruit comes from that offer.

Everyone see the front page of SRK. They’re teaming up with Gamestop for the Gamestop tournaments. Yet Gamestop is making a mockery of fighting game tournaments by making us use default controllers on Xbox 360 during all round of the tournament. GAY.
That’s pretty lame. Is there a petition to change? Maybe you can go to the local gamestop and persuade them to make an exception.
Everyone is at the same disadvantage. The only ones who are at a disadvantage are the ones who suck at fighting games, imo. Gamestop doesn’t know shit about running a tournament, so either play and suck it up or don’t bother with them at all and just watch behind the velvet rope.
I have to disagree Joe, if all Marvel tournaments were going to be on pad, I’d definitely lose.
I just think it’s stupid for them to advertise and promote the Fight Sticks, Fight Pads if they want everyone to use Default Xbox 360 pads, they could at least put it on PS3 which has a better DPAD. If anything this helps my case as I can use a Pad, but the Xbox Pad is just utterly useless, and forget about using EX moves on those controllers.
I understand why they do it. They don’t want any scrubs crying unfair cause we using the fight stick and they don’t have one of their own.
Reading through the official rules its states specifically
“Players must use the controllers that are provided by the store.”
So if you can get in good with the store and convince them to use the stick it might be worth it otherwise practice up with the game pad while you got some time.
I think it’s more of a liability that someone gets their 'ish stolen at a location. Gamestop just wants to avoid any of that by having people use their own controllers.
You lose anyway just like the rest of us not named Peter or Eder.

Found it funny that you have to pay for your own flight if you do make it to the finals GameStop and Capcom get their name on everything and they can’t spring 16 air fares.

So they officially announced July 17th-19th is EVO this year.
I have never been to Vegas or Evo. So now is finally my good reason to go and kill 2 birds with one stone.
So anyone else from Orlando considering going let me know. I’m already planning on it.
