Just wanted to stop in and get some feedback.
Orlando recently had a SF4 tournament as part of a big Halo/Gears company that runs tournaments every other month. It was a great setup, they had over 100 Tv’s(We had 4Tv’s and 14 Entrants for SF4 only since they didn’t advertise it til the week of). They plan on having something again end of May, and after talking with the head honcho, he gave me the go ahead to put together something BIG for it with SF4(they also had Smash and Melee but I’d leave that to them) if I choose to do so. I’ll know this week which date, but just wanted to see if you guys would make the trip out to Orlando for it. (it’s 2 months before Evo too and would be a good motivator/practice tournament). I also plan on personally going to EVO/Vegas since I’ve never been and I’ll kill 2 bird with one stone)
I’d definitely put together some great things for it, and we can expect to have over 12 Tv’s At least Already set up(They have all Xbox 360’s so that’s covered, But I also plan on Getting PS3’s with SF4 just to cater to both(Although Once Blazblue and KOF 12 come out, I can see PS3, being the better choice for running tournaments)., I see tournaments only having one or the other but I’m in the think tank seeing how I can coordinate a smooth running tournament on both systems.
I would also want to run HD remix, But it seems since SF4, there’s barely any interest so maybe a regional Team Tournament for it.
If any of you were around 4+ years ago, Then you might of shown up to one of my UCF tournaments that always had amazing turnouts, So I want to make a go at it again for old time’s sake.
So I’m just asking, is this something you guys would be willing to travel to the best spot to stay in Orlando for another big tournament, Could even be something I could turn into something bigger and even work with My Good friend CalmWarrior.

OK, here’s my 2 cents
First of all don’t over exaggerate. There was not over a 100 tvs there not even close to a 100. But there was definitely more TVs then we are accustomed to. Second I think 12 TVs is close to the number of TVs we had running at Final Round, which had 252 entrance. I think we had 9 or 10 TVs. 12 TVs for 30 tp 50 entrance would go VERY fast. Tourneys usually have some type of pace to them.
Tourneys HAVE to be run on PS3 for the most part, this is coming from someone who owns a 360 exclusively. I swear by 360 online for SF4. Offline though, straight up should not be 360 exclusively. This weekend proved that. Its not a console preference thing, its a matter of convenience and PS3 has the more options than 360 both for stick and controller. I think we should try to accommodate the masses though, by having one or two stations that are 360 only. People who play on stick typically can play on someone else’s stick if they have to, in case some controller guy only can play on 360 pad.
Lastly, maybe we should calm down on new ppl that start to post in the Orlando thread. I mean Jose basically called 2 new dudes homo. Now I LOL’ed hard, but these new ppl from what I have seen this weekend might be a little put off by our seasoned wit and shit talking. This is coming from me of all ppl. I think these tourneys can be really successful, but some things need to be ironed out right away so we can take advantage of this opportunity.

Yeah the feedback I’m getting from all of the threads are run it only one on System which of course would be PS3. I agree, it’s just they had all the Xbox’s already, but if we can pull together and provide enough PS3’s(I already know we have 4 among me and Jose Who are in for providing, as well as Hopefully Leland and Torrin if they can assist with that.
I will then name the tournament PS3 only, however we will have 2 Xbox 360 stations for pad players, and we should be able to scrounge up my 2 hori ex 2 sticks on the 360 stations. So Good idea Rick, 2 Tv’s should be enough. Also glad you mentioned Final Round, Didn’t know who to ask about how many Tv’s they had. So if we have 10 stations that should be perfect.
Also I agree, a lot of new people have come into the mix, and for once I’m not the one picking on them you assholes.
I find out from Eric from Florida Gaming about what day it’s either gonna be May 23rd or the 30th they get the venue. Hopefully it’s the 23rd cause My family will be gone the 30th, so I would switch with my brother and open then be at the venue by 12 to set up so I’d need you guys to help out before I get there.
I’m getting good feedback from Florida.
Seems we should add HDr to the mix so I will.
I don’t plan on adding marvel or Cvs2 as I think we should focus on SF4. But I’m thinking if someone else can take care of Marvel and supply the DC’s and we’ll get extra Tv’s 3 stations would work for them.

Yeah Marvel 3S and cvs2 are dead. If someone wants to bring a ps2 or dc for casuals maybe, but no tourneys maybe just MM and casual play.

GoogleMyName: I like your idea, I hope it works out. I just wish they didn’t have a $10 door fee on top of the entry fee. Count me in on the next one. I hope you will be able to come to the tourney at will’s.
Which Will’s tournament are you referring too?
Nobody likes a 10 dollar door fee, but when they’re supplying all the Electronics, tables, space to play, it’s a necessity to pay and help them out otherwise they would lose money on every event.
Don’t worry me and Stalvey’s entertainment will be worth that 10 dollars 10 fold.
