It’s not just him calling for the early fall of the system, lots of people in the industry are saying the exact thing. The finances of the system show just how terrible it’s doing…normally i agree that nintendo bashing has become a popular pass time in gaming circles but nintendo has literally given people every excuse to trash them. I don’t think any of the triple A nintendo games will help it to be honest, at least not in the long run to escape the same fate they suffered during the n64/game cube days.

Going to try to get a Wii U within a year or so, honestly waiting on a price drop on consoles and some first release titles before I dive in as right now new stuff seems scarce. Although if it mirrors the 3DS release we should be getting some big stuff and a steady stream within a few months.

Splinter Cell Blacklist - Wii U Features Trailer

The cam feature is a very good use of the pad. Marking targets on the pad sounds OP to what’s probably an already OP mechanic. The only concern I have is the tilt funtion for the rotor drone. It’s nice but as long as you can control it traditionally as well everything should be good. Very smart choices on pad use Ubi.

You could be right on that…I thought Nintendo usually did updates on Tuesday so that’s why I thought it should go live at some point this today. I’d sooner trust NWR on that though so I’ll expect it Thurs.

Get on MH3U! And whenever you get a chance to pop in Pandora I wouldn’t mind hearing your impressions on it. So far seems most reviews have said the game has a solid story but gameplay mechanics are combination of good yet repetitive.

Shin’en is working on two Wii U games

One is Jett Rocket II and the other game will be their first game with network play. Nintendo should probably consider buying some stock in these guys…they’ve done good work on their platforms.

Most of the sales are due to 3DS and Wii. Wii U hasn’t picked up speed yet and they want it to sell 9 mil this year. DS looks like it’s going to be retired as well.

I am waiting too but that is only because my girl and I are saving up money. I am usually an impulse game buyer but because I have been saving up I havent been buying games or systems lately and although I am missing some great stuff for the time being my “need” to go get games has died down quite a bit so I am actually happy about that. Well I can’t claim to know much of anything about this stuff. But I expect it might simplify and facilitate decision making processes. More uniformity between NoA and NCL.

Hopefully it means more 3DS XL colours(white). Really the only thing that keeps me from wanting to pick one up.

I’d ask for a 3rd revision with increased screen PPI, an account based system so if you lose your handheld or it breaks you don’t lose your online purchases, no region locking and a built in right analog but those are problems not exclusive to the NA market.

I doubt these kinds of changes can be expected based on Iwata becoming NoA CEO. NCL would be responsible for these types of decisions (except for the color update), not NoA.

Still, these would be some badass updates. It would be the perfect gaming machine. I’d definitely buy a white one too.

For those not in the know…Nintendo is holding an investor meeting right now that I’m following on Gaf

The more interesting bits of info have to be about the way how Nintendo plans on doing their E3 conference…

I don’t know exactly what to make of this…They may or may not be holding a traditional E3 conference this year.

Also Miiverse on the phone is apparently up and running.

You can’t post from your phone just yet but you can read posts and what not.

Sooo yeah from the sounds of things it seems Nintendo is planning on doing smaller events sprinkled out over the course of E3. They’re taking their big E3 conference and breaking it up into chunks over the course of the E3 week…that seems to be what I’m reading from the translations and that’s what others seem to be getting as well.

Edit 2: Gaf now has a thread where people can post up screenshots from Miiverse

Since the miiverse app is up for phones and pc people can now post up awesome stuff from there on forums and what not much easier.

Edit 3: It has also been reaffirmed that Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem and Monolith Soft’s game will be making their way to the EU/NA market
