Crytek CEO: Crysis 3 is not going to be on Wii U because of business drive
essentially to me this sounds like ‘There’s not enough install base/it won’t sell’. The thing is…this stuff is always a double edged sword. If you don’t bring games to a platform then it makes it hard to actually build that base that you need. They did say that someone else was bringing something to the platform using CryEngine from a respected developer…I’m hoping it not Sniper they are referencing.
Iwata: Wii U sales don’t live up to Wii’s sales but still selling steadily
He also mentioned the same problem I had said earlier about more people wanting the Deluxe bundle over the Basic.
Honest, it sounds to me that EA and Nintendo still have beef and EA isn’t going to invest any extra cash to get a decent port done for the Wii U. Given I hear they have gone the cheap route with all their Nintendo releases the last few years, this isn’t a surprise.
Did anyone here win those Kirby round playing cards from club nintendo? And if so did you get them in the mail yet? I got a email saying I had won them over a month ago now and still haven’t got them in the mail. But I did send a email to nintendo about it. I know they said something like 3-4 weeks till they shipped them out or something too. But it’s been like a month + a week now. Just a bit worried.
Platinum games put up a 2013 show reel for their games

nothing new in terms of footage for Bayo 2 or Wonderful 101. What this reel has that’s interesting is the copyright stuff at the end…looks like Wonderful 101 is possibly half owned by Nintendo? and since Sega still owns Bayo any ports that are going to happen of the 2nd one are pretty much going to fall on them.
There’s supposed to be some type of big pokemon news nintendo is going to be sharing tomorrowchecks clock…today…It has it’s own Direct for those interested
Nintendo is also open to the idea of Free-to-Play
Iwata said they weren’t going to apply this to existing franchises like Pokemon or anything but more so for future stuff.
For that to happen they’d have to make an MMOish type of game that can be updated with like 5-6 new pokemon every month. They’d either have to start doing monthly fees for this game or actually put it into the free-to-play model to get that money. I can see maybe DLC for pokemon games in the future though but even then that’s only going to go but so far. New full installments would probably have to happen at least around ever 4-5 years. That’s at least what I’m thinking of with the business cap on.
Yes, because Nintendo wants us to buy multiple games. If all the known Pokemon were available in actual main series game (they are in different spin offs and app games I believe) then there would be no need to have players buy more then one version or have their friends buy different ones so they can trade.
True enough at the least I wish they made it easier to transfer multiple Pokemon between games without the need to trade like they do for old and new generations. Haven’t played the games in a while so maybe they already have gonna look that up.
My biggest issue with the WiiU: The only game to play is Sonic racing, most of the eshop titles aren’t exciting if you have Steam and a PC from 2009 and I beat Mario 100% in 3 days because I’m just so damn cool.
download zombi u demo. nintendo land is EXCELLENT if you have friends and just about anything ported is better due to the gamepad only + gamepad tv combo
Silly question here. Is there anything I need to do officially to switch between TV and game pad when playing Mario Bros? Is it as simple as turning the TV station to watch whatever my wife wants to watch and I continue playing while looking at the gamepad screen?
