If we could get the VC games that were on the Wii, playable with the Game Pad or Pro that would be even better.
Good to see S&P: SS get another release. Hopefully we get more of Treasure’s Nintendo offerings, but that’s wishful thinking…
Super Mario Galaxy 2 is $10. I might have to jump on that.
Good thing my wii u backlog isn
Buying that as soon as I get home. I beat SMG around Christmas time of 2013 and really enjoyed it. Actually when it comes to Mario i only like his 3d games or his rpgs. For some reason his 2d platformer stuff is eh to me, because i prefer like DK or Megaman over him
I only recently got back into Mario. 3D Land and 3D World is what I wanted out of a 3D Mario since 64. I know a good deal when I see one so I’m buying an eshop card after I get out of work tomorrow.

The Metroid Trilogy specifically interests me considering it’s going to be available for download. The whole collection is around 10 gigs as far as I can tell from messing around with the file on my Soft Modded Wii, which is already 1/3rd of the biggest available 32 Gig WiiU. The more the days go by, the less sense the memory capacity on these things make sense to me. Hell, the digital version of Smash Bros is a whopping 15 gigs. That’s already over half of your system memory gone with one game and that’s also under the assumption that you bought the 32 gig…
As a business desicion, it would at least make sense if they were trying to sell large Nintendo brand external HDD’s, but as far as I know they offer no such accessory. Sure, it’s nice that you can use your own off-brand HDD, but the fact that they would shell out these systems with such a small capacity in the first place confuses me to no end.
And another thing: The Metroid Trilogy collection sells for almost $80 in retail stores. Does that mean they’re gonna be selling it for 30/40 bucks when it releases for download? Because I might have to jump on that if so, even considering I already have a pirated version of the collection.
Nintendo needs to know that some of us still haven’t forgotten about their GOAT franchise. <3
Really hope to start seeing a lot more Metroid stuff from Nintendo. Even if it’s Virtual Console shit for the time being.
You can use an external HDD or SD card to expand the systems storage. I got a portable HDD for downloadable games.

The memory issue is relative to me, since the other consoles w/500 gigs are getting hit with mandatory installs that are ridiculously huge as well.
eh Wii U doesn’t have anything with a ridiculous mandatory install yet. I’ve been running off of 32 gigs for 2 years so far but that’s mostly because I don’t do digital if there’s a physical copy of something.

I made this exact statement in the very post you quoted. Lol.
Just finished watching the Direct. Hype train never stops. I immediately downloaded SMG2 when I saw it was available. Gonna grab Punch Out Wii and the MP trilogy. Funny thing is, I was thinking about the latter and how I was going to find a copy. Nintendo made it easy.
Now that they’ve opened the door to Wii games, how long before Xenoblade appears? You think they’ll release it right before Xenoblade X comes out?
I wish Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze had to be installed. The load times are brutal.
Mario Party 10 looks hype. And DK is back.
Are you referring to retail stores or the E Shop? Retailers won’t let up with their hard copy prices (see Marvel vs Capcom 2 for PS2/Xbox during PSN/XBLA release). Nintendo’s pretty clever. They know the trilogy goes for a high price and it should the game has a lot of content.
Speaking of the Metroid Trilogy, I actually am playing through Prime 2 righ tnow. I started it on Sunday? Man the game is kinda addicting. The atmosphere+music+exploration kinda makes the game feel trance-link when playing. And this time around i been scanning everything i see. I remember being stuck in Prime 1 for hella long due to not scanning shit so i wasn’t aware of the puzzles i was supposed to be doing. But definitely cop the trilogy man1 You’ll definitely enjoy, and this is coming from someone who doesn’t normally like 1st person games
I don’t like the looks of the new mario party except the new Amiibo mode where you play actual mario party. Why do have to be all in same cart? that’s boring.

Echoes was really something else. When you take the dark dimension version of the levels into account, it’s almost as if they built two entirely separate and GIGANTIC maps into one game. The multiple ways they took advantage of the landscape and dimensional travel was just phenomenal. The puzzles were clever and inventive, the bosses were amazingly designed and paced out, and the amount of scannable lore was unbelievable. Truly a gem of a game, and probably my favorite of the three.
^I think this dude loves Metroid the way I love Mega Man.
And I agree… Prime 2 was the shit.

Prime series was good.
Besides Prime 3
Really didn’t like that shit.
In my opinion, Prime 1 will always be the best Prime game of the trilogy.
