W101 is owned by Nintendo, it’s a Nintendo IP. That was the deal, it’s been explained a bunch in the past.

It’s published by Nintendo, in addition to being co-developed by Nintendo SPD. It’s considered a Nintendo IP.

Finally got around to playing Wonderful 101. It was a game that literally gets better as you play it. Not gonna lie, I wasn’t really feeling it until the 2nd mission, mainly because I didn’t get it yet. After you get a good basis of scenarios, the game finally clicked. I love the way that P* does their games. Very intuitive with the situations the player is dropped into, and there is not a lot of hand holding. It’s basically figure this shit out or die. Now off to destroy Laambo. . .

I don’t think anyone other than Platinum themselves can top W101’s final boss/operation atm. It was truly an experience.

I haven’t gotten too far in the game as I’d like. I am preparing for the Project Management Professional certification, so my free time isn’t as much as I’d like for the next few weeks. However, from what I have played, this game is definitely a purchase that I don’t regret. I really hope this studio sticks around and puts out more awesomeness on the Wii U.

I saw the God of War 3 intro a couple months ago, so if anyone can do it, I think it would be Santa Monica, but like most things from the ‘West’ that was pretty front loaded(correct me if I’m wrong). Insomniac as well?

One thing I noticed about GoW3 and Bayonetta 2, is that the sense of scale is much greater even though Kamiya likes to hit grandiose highs. I know it sounds weird but I think it’s something in the camera positioning that really set that those two games apart, as far as scale. When describing the setpieces of Bayonetta and W101, it is indeed EPIC, but I feel there could be even more. W101 was a better step(and a huge one at that) in nailing that. Maybe I’m too used to the games?

I’m expecting Scalebound to melt faces, and I can’t wait to see the other projects they have in store. Platinum released a Happy New Year’s video on YT and the head of the company was talking about having “a few more projects in the pipeline” that he couldn’t talk about.

Pfffftttttt… HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

No, wait…

I’m sorry… I’m going with the dudes that actually let you fight the boss battle, and not throw you into a QTE every time you do 1HP of damage to the boss.

You still haven’t played W101, and are off base with what the discussion was about. Sit down.

Where did the Smash thread go? I can’t seem to find it, even with the search function. Am I missing something?

Smash has its own subsection now:

We in there.

Thanks mang.

Supposedly Nintendo did a reprinting of Radiant Dawn last year and fresh copies are showing up on Ebay at high prices

So I finally get a new wii u and can’t download anything because They fucked up on their side with the data transfer so I have to wait another 1-4 days.

Fuck.

They fixed it! I got an email while at work letting me know eberything was fixed and I should be able to log into eShop no problem.

Good thing I am sick and have the next few days off. Hyrule Warriors here I come

Europe got DKCR instead of Punch-out!!! I’m happy that Punch-out is getting a second chance at sales here.

Also looks like some other titles will be showin up in the future…including Sin and Punishment

Front games should be updated to reflect some of the dates…Rodea also got a release date of April in Japan so I don’t know if it’s going to make it over here.

Edit:
check out the art direction on Kirby and the Rainbow Curse

is Punch out getting a new game? Hype

No. The Wii game will be made available to purchase in the eshop.

THAT is how you do it.
