I hope that Splatoon gets taken seriously. That game looks really appealing to me - so much so that I wish it wasn’t exclusive (since most of my friends don’t have a WiiU), or at least supported split-screen, which I suppose isn’t possible due to the quick-travel system seemingly requiring the gamepad (Still unsure of this)

Oh, I’ll certainly be playing it online, but I am a dedicated “couch co-op” guy. Just about every week I’ve got a group of people at my home and we’re playing together. It’s definitely my preferred style of play. Even when I play The Last of Us online, I do so with three or four people in my living room on some of my VH238H screens. It’s a warzone. :tup: (Maybe this weekend I’ll take some pics of the typical setup, I think there used to be a thread for that if I recall correctly)

Other than that, my locale kind of limits meeting new people. My whole country has a population of about 57k. No, that is not a typo. There are roughly fifty-seven thousand people in my whole country (including all three islands). :lol:

Most of the local Nintendo crowd are either younger children, or older guys that grew up with the OG systems. As a nearly-thirty-year-old man, I’m not going to be inviting young kids to my place (especially considering what else goes on. If someone can’t get into an R-rated movie, or has loose lips, I don’t want them by my home. ), and most of the older fans are preoccupied with life and kids, marriages, PTA meetings, that kind of nonsense. :lol:

If Splatoon gets taken seriously maybe it’ll get the Nintendo fanboys to actually venture out a little bit. This is the game that I was kind of hoping for. Just gotta make sure that the core game is good and we’ll see how well it sells. If it bombs horribly even after receiving critical praise then that’s just going to make me hate the fanbase that much more.

You know Im wondering why people basg Nintendo for Mario and Zelda, for consoles those are their two flagship franchises, so obviously with each gen, a new one will come, but people don’t bash MS for Halo. Oh man Xenoblade X is shaping up nicely and they have character customization? I love that stuff kind of looked like you could also choose gender at the start.

The only reason I’m considering buying it is because it has the first bayoneta on it as well. Because I have little or no interest in the series. It looks pretty…sure. But it just looks like another DMC style boring hack n slash clone.

I wouldn’t be surprised if she ends up a smash character though.
