Question. So I really don’t use my vita at all. And my friend wants to trade his 3ds a long with bravely default and SMT IV on it.
Its an OG 3ds, is the XL THAT much better to where I should skip the trade or are people exaggerating the differences between both models?
functionally they are the same the screen IS that much bigger though plus the form factor is there if you have even slightly larger than average hands. I’d say go for it if you think the 3ds library is that much better (which I personally would say it is) plus those are two of the best jrpgs to come out in the last decade and they cant really be found for less than 30 bucks so figure 100 for the vanilla model plus 60 for the games. Ask yourself is your vita worth less or more than 160.

Lightning is the most annoying item in the game
I joined your room Sonichuman but I got stuck in spectator mode lol. Room was full.
God i got gimped sooo much. This game can be infuriating.
Literally last race i was in 3rd right at the finish line then i get hit by a bomb and a blue shell in a row.

I know, right? Lightning right as you launch on a big jump is the worst. I get so mad when that shit happens!
Even if it’s in spectate mode give it a couple of games…usually you might get fitted in by that time.
I think I actually have more fear for Lighting in this game more than the rest of the items…that’s including the Blue Shell since the frequency at which those show up has been turned down. The only reason I have for saying that is the fact that when the Lightning does hit I’m usually in the middle of doing something like a jump that not only makes me lose the coins from the lightning hit but then Lakitu takes another 3 off of me for falling off the stage.
One of the races I had to day was probably the worst I’ve ever been gimped in Mario Kart history and I was partly at fault for it. I fear for making any type of mistake in this game like even just putting being off road for half a second feels would cost me dearly…since that’s exactly what happened. I was in first for the better half of the race and it was pretty much smooth sailing until I overestimated a turn and put the guy in range for a shell and took that…‘ok not so bad I can-’ And the moment I thought that was the moment that 3 other people took shots at me and a couple people with mushrooms wizzed by me right before the finish line. If I could make Waluigi manually give people death stares I would.

So how do you accumulate points cause i got 5th in one race but got the most points
Generally if you’re in the top half you get some points. If you’re one of the more higher ranking people in a room mostly filled with lower people though and you won’t make as many points when you place.

So there was a race. I had a burnout start. I started in 11th. But I was rolling hard. We were on the shoals track. Idk how but a shortcut and 1 mushroom put me in 1st before the last turn at the finish line. I was so hyped.
Also for a while there was this Japanese rosalina player. Dude was pretty good most of the time we were tailing each other but that got ruined because he got hit with an item. Hella wanted to race him one on one
Also for some reason I see lots of Rosalinas on bikes when online. And im convinced some people just troll. On the DK jungle level on the last jump/ramp a Bowser player landed turnrd on his plant item and sat there just to hit everyone as they landed lol
I had my first MK8 online races today. Did 3 races. The first race I got 7th place on Tick-Tock Clock. The second Race, I game in 4th on Toad Harbor. The last race, Mount Wario, I came in 2nd and just barely. I think that Blue Shell switched from hitting the racer in 1st to 2nd because whoever was in 1st already crossed the finished line so I became the target. I juuuuust managed to cross the finish line before the racer on my neck did.
Also, the group of random people I went with LOVE them some bikes. I’m know bikes are fast but that better not be what I get into every single time I race online.
The Lightning Bolt IS the new Blue Shell. The rate the game hands that thing out to the stragglers is absurd. I’ve been hit with the Lightning Bolt more times than that freaking Blue Shell. And this is just in CPU races I’ve done on 50cc and 100cc. Once I move to 150cc and Mirror Mode, its probably gonna get nuts.
Oh, my NNID is Landus81 if anyone wants to be buddies. I plan to add you guys. Is it possible to make an SRK MK8 racing group?
