We should definitely get some sort of qualifier so we know who’ll rep the UCR Freelanders and know who’ll be alternates and what not.

For everyone who’s interested in playing for the Rival Schools 3 event…
So I’m thinking about running weekly tournaments, doing a point based system for top 4 or top 8 (still haven’t decided). By the end of it all, probably the last week before RS3, the people with the most points will be on the team.
This weekly tourney idea is also good cause we’ll get to see more of the UCR players come out 
I’ve been going there since 07 and I was a regular until it got moved too. Most of the OG guys left around the time of your graduation, so maybe we didn’t meet. At the time I didn’t have much of a team, now I’m the only MSS.

Dang, yeah I probably didn’t get a chance to meet you :(. A lot of the best players didn’t come often but I was able to play some of them quite a bit (getting slaughtered mostly lol). There is a chance that I may have seen you before since I went there everyday, sacrificing my gpa a bit >_< lol. I stuck with Santrax swapping in Jill once in a while. After things died I started trying out MSP.
First weekly is tonight, I’m going to Lat55 around 7:30pm.
Was never any good at rs. If anybody is down for some sf4 thursday/saturday I’ll be around.

I would be down for that and some MvC3 if it turns out to be good. I know James and maybe Mark, but those could be different people xD. If it’s the James that will refuse to play top tiers than yes lol. If we’re thinking about the same rollerblading rager, he came in one time and a friend of mine beat him like 10-0 with his low tier team, and he raged lol. Do you know Matt, Derek, and Mike(iron man, mag, psy)?. They should have played in the arcade around when you did more often since they graduated in 09.
Yes! Well James and I were roommates back in 09. I also know all of those guys, especially Mike lol, we had a small 3s rivalry after I red parried his Ken with Hugo. I’m looking forward to the game, hopefully it won’t be TvC2 cough
If you didn’t know, matt still goes here. He is a grad student but swings by lag once and awhile playing Ken on ssf4. Dereck graduated last year (he was my roommate). He visits ucr once and awhile too haha.
Nice! Those are the guys that taught me the game. I haven’t seen most of them in over a year. I only still see Matt, since he lived with my friend Francisco (clockwork) last summer and is getting his masters around here somewhere. From what I’ve noticed, a lot of them dropped the game after the arcade died like I did. Wait Hugo? I only remember 1 Hugo player. Do you play Elena by any chance? Haha I never played TvC, but a friend of mine who is one of the top players in the country makes the game look kinda fun xD. From what friends tell me, I’m hoping it isn’t TvC2 either lol.

Francisco knows exactly who I am, were really good homes btw. I got better playing him, now I can beat him and he kind of dropped the game too, like most. Nope, I didn’t play Elena, but I know him too! He’s really good, I could never beat him in 3s, I only played for fun. I would play Hugo like zangief in Marvel which is why i did well with him.

lol its called the rival schools event but we’re not actually playing the game “rival schools”… its basically a 5v5 ssf4 tourney pitting schools against each other eg. ucr vs. uci or ucla vs. ucsb
