Outlaw Star is currently being aired on Mnet, some channel that airs K-pop music vids, as well as Bandai’s anime.
Will watch those two shows on Saturday as I’ve never heard of them before.
Naruto is one of the reason why Toonami died in the first place. It should not get a second chance
Ill watch it to show my support so they can develop a better block
All those shows before The Boondocks need to die.
Sent from Hueco Mundo using Garganta Talk.
i hope the slayers gets on the block in the near future, it’s a show i liked watching as a kid. it’s not really suitable for a late night block, but it’s good for something you would watch on a Saturday evening, like at 8 or 9PM. hopefully, the revival will stand its ground and prove successful so we can get more $ for acquisitions.
I’m sorry, I only ever watched a few episodes of that show at a friends house. My impression was that it was an ok show. Not good, not bad, just ok.
It’s fanbase just seems to be inflated in comparison to how good it is. Some of my other pals watch/read a lot of that and One Piece, which I’ve seen nothing of, but know the basic premise. Even they say they get bogged down with all the filler and nonsense.
But that show just gives anime a bad name. It just does.
Probably from weeaboos buying those damn headbands with the shiny aluminum plates on the forehead and the jumpsuits. Real cool.
Need to kill Koth forever. Tired of seeing that shit get an hour block.
Other shows are fine besides Loiter squad. Another piece of shit show that should’ve never of come into existence.
i feel the same way. adult swim pretty much has comedy shows all over the place. it used to be evened out back in 2004, comedy and anime shared weeknights and had their premier days on the weekends. now the anime has 6 hours of airtime. hopefully toonami can prove itself and reclaim saturdays as the only night for anime
The Dub cast for Deadman Wonderland the show thats gonna be on Toonami is announced Here overall impressed that this made the lineup. Would like to see dub HOTD, Angel Beats!, and Madoka Magica sometime in the future if they could get Deadman Wonderland in lol. Glad Toonami is not going 100% nostalgia on this and thinking** LONG RUN** not SHORT RUN
It’s good that they’re putting more recent animes into the line-up instead of just relying on the older ones. Fresh new attractions are definately the way to go for a revival I think.
I only watched like two or three eps of Deadman Wonderland, so now I get a chance to get into it again. Hell, maybe I can get back to watching anime in general as I stopped finding interest in the genre a while back.
I do hope that they take up the Funimation dub of One Piece. I remember CN showing some episodes of the Skypeia arc and then it just suddenly stopped.
I wanna see if they’ll have kickass intros like they used to have in the old days, since it’s mainly just editing video footage and putting beats over it (Windows Movie Maker Live is free with every version of Windows!)
Speaking of kickass intros…word on the street is that chicks dig giant…?

“NICE!” swear this show gave me a positive image of New Jersey, but Jersey Shore ran it into the ground lolz
Liked for the dope ass new AV.
All people need to do is prove that toonami is worth the time, even on April 1st, it had among the lowest ratings compared to their highly rated shows. DBZ still had less than bleach that day. Family Guy is their money maker and is watched the most on Thursday and Friday. What they show on Saturday doesn’t get so many hot ratings, so maybe it can take over the lineup and have boondocks replace a lower rated show. Loiter squad and NTSF needs to go ASAP, nothing of value will be lost. KOTH does get them some sort of ratings, but i doubt anyone would be horrified if it was lost.
Yea, but I remember Boondocks being their main money maker because I remember the bumps when season 3 was being regularly shown and it shown consistently that Boondocks got highest ratings/viewers regardless of the timeslot. I feel like its gonna be the same when season 4 is released
DBZ had less than bleach, but bleach also reached new heights that night. I believe it’s the first time in a while that it’s had over 1,000,000 viewers. The week after it only had 900,000. If they put DBZ in rotation later on, I bet more viewers would have stuck around, IMO. When do you ever have 700,000 viewers at 3AM? I’ve never seen that happen before. During Bebop the week after(at 3AM) there was only 500,000 viewers, so clearly, Toonami is the way to go. I’m definitely willing to give adult swim a shot, as they did well on April 1, so why not now? Besides, the fun of toonami isn’t just the shows, but the layout, promos, and excellent music. I don’t usually watch Bebop, but I’ll gladly start watching again if it means Toonami has a better chance to stay. I think they’ve made some excellent choices in shows so far, and I’d love to see what else they can do.
EDIT: Also, ditching the fox shows in exchange for anime wouldn’t be a terrible idea, as anime will be much cheaper to license, and if the ratings are decent I’m sure that adult swim would be more than happy to give us some more toonami.
Replace with a hour block (for good this time) of Metalocalypse. Pickles the house salesman preview video on adult swim’s site is so awesome.
You guys are crazy. Are people actually saying NEGATIVE things about Toonami being back?? BE HAPPY. The greatest cartoon block of all time is back and people have negative things to say. I mean, they already said that Toonami is on thin ice and they need viewers to get more shows so give them some viewers. Tune in and watch it, even if it is only 2 shows. And why on earth would people want Naruto on Toonami?? Naruto sucks! Thats why it went away in the first place.
