They’ll be taking care of it. Check the schedule on the site, there have been empty spaces for a while. I assure you we’ll see at least one new show, and a few classic toonami shows. The only ones left on the schedule are Bleach, FMA, and Bebop. The rest is up to them. I think we’ll get some more info on it this weekend. I expect to see either Outlaw Star or Trigun being placed on the block as a placeholder for now.
I’ve watched all of Monster all ready but watching it again on Toonami would be cool.

Speaking of anime, how is the English dub for Berserk (never watched the anime)? The English voice acting for Claymore was so bad I was insulted by it. I had to switch back to original Japanese + English subs ASAP.

Unless you are watching subs, you’ll be watching the same “poor” dubs on your PC as well, it’s the same show with the same VA’s. Besides, 99% of people have a DVR now, there is no such thing as a locked time, just a specific channel, you can even skip commercials if you want.
The rerun issue is covered as well. “Beginning Saturday, May 26, Adult Swim brings back Toonami, the network’s popular block of anime programming. Airing weekly from midnight to 6 a.m. (ET/PT), in addition to the return of previous series featured in Toonami, Adult Swim is also developing new original anime programming for fans.” Yeah, that means new shows to TL and some new dubs, and voice actors today actually aren’t that bad compared to when Toonami was starting out.
I believe watching movies in theaters vs. at home compares as well. I prefer watching movies in theaters as well, it’s something about the environment. (OK, I admit it, the popcorn helps too, and I own a popcorn popper and everything) I can get all my friends together and we can watch TV or go to a movie, it’s much harder to do that over the internet.
Honestly, what’s more fun for you, playing a fighter on your console, or going to an arcade and playing it there? If you think arcade is more fun, then you should be able to understand our mindset. It’s just a special difference between the two.
God, I know a kid who watched Toonami pretty much just because of the promos, and not the actual shows, they were amazing, and the music was top notch. Sure, some shows that aired sucked, and some VA’s were terrible, but most of my memories are positive.
For you, TV may be dead, but you wouldn’t have any of that content you like to watch online if people did not watch TV. Sure, you can torrent it, and you may not even own a TV, but if people didn’t watch the shows you love and saw the ads that support the shows, you couldn’t watch any of the stuff you watch at all.

Toonami was always about explosions and people punching each other, not cursing, sex, and guns. That and some random ecchi, harem crap with adventure elements. Claymore would be okay if it weren’t for the blood. Panty and Stocking and BL are Adult Swim material. Probably need to get that Marvel money and throw their crap anime on there as well.

It said in that link earlier that Toonami will have some new shows, so it’s not really just a simple repaint of Adult Swim.
