It’s not the same in this game. Yuri for example absolutely can’t air combo for crap, while Judy is fucking insane in the air. Each character has a completely different way you have to play them.
Okay, I’ll try it out. Thanks much!
I kicked Estelle out of my party and put in Raven.
It made such a huge difference.
Estelle’s pissing me the fuck off.
Me: Okay Estelle, heal.
Estelle: stab
Me: No, goddammit! Heal!
Estelle: stab
Me: Argh *turns off every ability except Nurse, sets Estelle’s strategy to “keep distance” and "heal"
Estelle: stab
Yeah, that used to happen with me. What I did was make a custom strategy that I used specifically for boss battles. I had them move ALL THE WAY back in the formation and I’d never have trouble. I mean once you get her altered artes, Estelle is a broken healer.
Estelle can be as broken as she wants, but what she can’t be is in my party. If I tell that bitch to sit back and heal, she better do as I fucking say.
I’m angry because apparently I missed some skills that I can’t go back and get. I tried to make it a point to not miss things, but this game is too ridiculous. I’m going to blaze through to the end, then just play my next game actually collecting shit.
Difference as in, you don’t get healed for half as much?
I fucking HATE not having Estelle in the group. BTW, the “Dedicated Paramedic” outfit for her is top tier.
I’m telling you, all I did was map Nightingale to a RS shortcut and I was set.
I don’t even have a shortcut for Estelle’s healing and she healbots like a pro.
Yeah, I have it mapped just in case. Sometimes she does run in like a dumbass, so when that happens I switch my control to her run the fuck away and then RS shortcut her. Then she’s on auto-bot healing.
I haven’t had a single character die since Raven came in as healer.
Also, how the fuck do I get costumes?! I’ve found the accessories, but no outfits. Do they start after a certain plot point, or what?
There are tons of title costumes you can pick up as sidequests throughout the story. Generally later though. You won’t get many early on.
Good God almighty. The unsealed Fell Arms are just too damn much. My ATP on Yuri went from 1900 to 6153. :wow:
Needless to say, 100-Man Melee is now a joke and a half, on top of the fact that it adds a lovely 100 ATP to my Blazer Edge Abyssion everytime I choose to go and kill them.
get to that unknown mode right now!!!
BTW, I beat the game. I was actually fine with the ending, one of the few RPGs I’ve played recently that didn’t have one of those bullshit “bittersweet” endings. I was left with nothing but a good feeling, and I liked that. As soon as my brother gets done playing I’m gonna hop on again and keep collecting stuff to get ready for my next playthrough.
My copy arrived yesterday and I’ve already put 5 hours into it. I can’t remember the last time I did that with any game. So far, the story is pretty interesting and the battle system is fun to use. I actually want to fight enemies instead of just avoiding them/only fighting them when necessary.
The only thing I dislike so far is the character portraits in the skits, which look dumb. Whoever made these can’t draw ears or expressions very well. As for fully voiced skits… there isn’t as many of them as seen in Abyss, but they’re still interesting to listen to given that they’re voiced.
I can see myself playing through this game until the very end.
who’s the most broken character?
If Rita has a little better PD, I’d say her, but of course Yuri is too brokesauce.
At the moment I’m just spamming fireballs with Rita.
So, her.
same, mages are always good/too good.
