There’s no word on ToX2 since Japan hasn’t even gotten it yet.

So I finally played ToGf and learned that
[spoiler=]friends take utmost priority over petty things like world chaos and the lives of innocents/people you are not friends with.
It seems the cast is oblivious to the fact that, while they let Richard do what he wants and escape because he’s their friend, people are suffering/dying from monster attacks and the disappearance of eleth. You would think at some point they’ll realize they’ve reached a point of no return and they must end the chaos right now. But oh wait, our friend is all red-eyed and acting really angry, it must not be the real him and therefore we must save his life instead, because FRIENDSHIP.
Oh yeah, and if you have the ability to sacrifice yourself for the perseverance of the world and everyone’s lives, don’t use it because your friends will label you as a retard.[/spoiler]
I dunno about everyone else, but one of my requirements for RPGs is to like the cast that I’m controlling since I’m supposed to role play the characters. It’s hard for me to like the characters and care what they do when they’re a bunch of selfish nonsensical dumbasses that have no idea what’s at stake here. (their AI does not help either)
The story and characters are my biggest gripes about ToGf (the dungeons are second), and if it weren’t for the battle system and the fact that I have the game I couldn’t care less about beating it. As a Tales fan that started all the way from ToP, this game was the first disappointment I’ve ever had in the otherwise very enjoyable series and hopefully ToX is nowhere as bad.

I hate the “story” of Graces.
Hate.
The only likeable characters are Old Man Boomerang, and to a lesser extent, Assmell.

Bandai Namco Entertainment announced the English localized version will have an option to choose either English or Japanese voiceovers, a first for the series. The game will have English, French, and Spanish text options.

Update: A little more information about the two language tracks, players can choose to play Tales of Zestiria with English or Japanese audio from the game’s start menu. If you want to switch languages you need to quit out of the game and go back to the first menu. You won’t be able to change languages while in gameplay.
The game features character design by Mutsumi Inomata, as well as Kosuke Fujishima. Ufotable will be handling the animated cutscenes.
Berseria stars a sole female protagonist named Velvet (voiced by Rina Sato). She looks a bit like Milla from Tales of Xillia with black hair. In a trailer shown at the event, Velvet is imprisoned. In another scene, she is riding something like a ship. Later on, we see snow and grassy plains, as well as oceans during the ship scene.
According to the press release, the game will have “cities covered in snow, perpetual summer islands, autumn leaves, and evening sunsets,” as well as a “diversity of situations” compared to previous entries in the series.

I got Tales of Zestiria CE sitting here and I want to play it…but I still need to beat Tales of Hearts on Vita first. That game is pretty long lol
