Hello Everyone,

This thread is so sick that it motivated me to register for the forums. There are some amazing designs here.

I love that art. It’s just one of the very many that has popped out at me. I like that it’s simple and works. Good job on putting the stick together and to andyone for a cool design.

thanks. here’s a couple of things i learned from the process.

1. painting the bezel was super easy. it comes out simple enough (just unscrew the top six screws), and get yourself some vinyl dye from autozone/kragen/local auto parts shop. the one i got was called “Dupli-color”, vinyl and fabric coating. since i picked white, the first couple of coats still had the red show through so it looked more like pink at first. i did about 7-10 coats.

2. when spraying the bezel, make sure you keep rotating it after every coat so you get it from different angles. oh and obviously you don’t need to paint the bottom.

3. if you print your template at kinkos, have them use photoshop to open the file to print it out. i tried printing several times using their “self-service” computers and none of them turned out right. insist that an associate help you because they only install photoshop on the pcs behind the counter.

4. you don’t have to print out TE templates on 11x17 paper, legal size is fine and will save you some money.

5. when i was cutting the button holes, i cut the template to fit the metal plate and then used a glue stick to keep the paper on top. cutting on the kinkos cutting board is kinda hard. instead bring a thick magazine with you and try cutting on top of that.

6. be certain that as you’re putting on the lami-labeled template on the metal plate it is perfectly over the holes and centered correctly. that stuff is strong. i dunno if a wet application will work but someone should try and let the rest of us know.

Need your advice regarding placement. Should I keep it like this? Or should I center the character and leave out the name? I’ll be using red buttons and joystick if that helps you give me feedback.
