No it’s exactly the same, no changes have been made to the PC version besides support for higher resolutions, increase in detail, and extra visual shaders.
net code is the same ppl connection are better, out of 500 match I think I got 2 dc
(that doesnt mean the match are smooth but at least someone win)
Damn Capcom.Thanks guys.
So I’m about to hit 15k GP soon… :wonder:
G1 is going to be so empty.
…I have way too much time on my hands.
400 matches, only 2 dc.
Latest was an Akuma doing what they do best, running away :wgrin:
Also, one instance of that weird thing someone else mentioned… Once during both rounds, everything started lagging violently for a few seconds, and when the game was “back” my stick wasn’t responding properly for a few secs. Very odd.
And one instance of someone going for the “1 round, 30 sec, I’m a runaway Akuma”. Better check the settings before playing…
Still, that’s very few bad games. I don’t even mind the people with laggy computers since they tend to suck, and when it goes that slowly I can hit Saks combos easily.
the netcode is junk, sometimes 3 bars is fine sometimes 5 lags. tons of flowchart/spam scrubs, scoreboards hacked, all data saved on pc (BP/unlocks/etc.), exactly the same version you’ve seen on xbox360/ps3.
Yeah, I’ve been spending a bnuch of time in Ranekd mode if only to slow my advance. I don’t want to be one of the first to G1 on PC(where there seems to be even less people), I had like 2-3 weeks where I could rarely play Champ mode on my 360. :\
ggs earlier, and yes I’m going slow on pc this time. I don’t want to play white haired ken all the time :arazz:
I don’t know if it’s better or if they just messed with the bar display. I almost never see 1-2 bar connections anymore, and when I do, it usually means they’re not in North America. But 3-bar connections on PC can be just as bad as 1-2 bar connections were on PS3. Plus there’s hardware lag. And weird midmatch lag that always makes me think the other guy is lag switching, even though it’s probably just a coincidence.
The first week was wall-to-wall charge characters. Now the shotos have caught up and the character distribution looks pretty much the same as it does on the console. My G2 winrate went up a good 5% when the wave of shotos came in, since they’re pretty much all I played against PS3. That’s about the only good thing about the change–I mostly avoid championship for player matches now.
Still, I’d rather fight them than the people who solely use lag-exploit tactics, or who can throw out perfect ten-hit combos but can’t block, do footsies, deal with cross-ups or do anything else you’d expect someone with that level of execution to be familiar with.
Looks like you got one suggestion over on Tech Talk. The above–buttons work, stick doesn’t–also happens to me sometimes when my stick is plugged in, the system goes into power-save (hibernation) mode, and then I bring it back out. I have to restart the computer for the stick to work right.
If you want to keep playing Championship without zooming through G2, you can always make another GFWL account. Don’t think there’s any rule against having more than one.
There isn’t, but I don’t really feel like editing another save to get the characters unlocked and such (pretty sure character unlocks are profile specific unfortunately).
If you check on this thread:

There is a trainer there by Kennykilla that has worked fine for me for 4 of my profiles (2 offline, 2 online). Very noob-proof, because it worked for myself as well.
- Open SF4 goto Options. Stay at this screen.
- Open trainer, click the unlock button TWICE for whichever you may want.
- Goto Keyboard settings and then change the keyboard keys to something else, hit back to force a save, and it all works out fine. Exit trainer & game. Restart game. Save should be fine and uncorrupted.
- ***use at own risk, but I’m recommmending it on a new account because you’ve got nothing to lose.
Yeah, I keep thinking of making a FuriousJodo SRK for PC use.
In many cases that’s just Vista polling for new WLAN devices (every 60 seconds). But there is a solution to that problem…
Slow down their buddy :karate:
Too late.
I just hit G1
hi!
any chance to disable the final round winpose?
so that always the “2d view” poses will show up.

If you’re only concerned about PC compatibility, the Super Joy Box 3 Pro is supposed to be good.

There’s also the In-Pin (works with PC and PS3) which you can get by sending Laugh a PM.
