The Official Ranting Thread

In a way I can relate to you - I run into Ryu and Ken (on the same team no less) a lot (at least ten times per day). The truth is, it really does not concern me what characters my opponent use. I just think the logic here is to use the character that you believe you can win with. But, having said that - On some occasions, I think of Ryu and Ken as “skill-gate” characters - characters that may prevent the player from getting better unless they access the fundamentals, understand the matche ups, and utilize training mode accordingly. Players that are not good at SFxT or just decent will use these characters because they have a easy set of moves to work with and quite a few options thanks to the tag system. This leads to predictability. If these players were to run into one of these members on this board right now, or even a skillful player they will be more likely to lose because of this predictability (mirror matches are no exception - there are many players who actually know how to use Ryu and Ken effectively).

Ok you have obviously not played with the characters if you dare claim steve has antiair.
Notice that when i say these characters have no antiair at all (maybe cross supers), i’m a guy who’s a firm believer that hakan has great anti-air while oiled.

I commend you all for continuing to have faith in this game, it must take a lot.

Same but my BP is… well look at the last page

that’s because he dose

but I guess we will people get better with correct spacing , a lot of good anti air buttons are not being pressed yet imo

Please enlighten me because i spent the first week trying to get one antiair to work with him.

just gonna say I’m glad I saved my money and time

I was actually talking about hakan when I said he dose

as for Steve I can only tell you what I’ve been hit by while trying to jump in on him

That’s a great way to back up your argument that anti-airs in this game are good.

Throws are great in SFxT, that’s why people are using assist gems to tech throws.

Throws are good because the threat of damage is huge. You’d much rather get thrown than hit by a Tekken character.

I’ve gone back to AE and SCV, and I feel sooo much better. F*ck this rushed cash grab.

Mugen.

no but my arguement was about spacing and understanding all your characters hitboxes

which nobody can honestly say they have done

people go ah I have no go to anti air button or move , this character has none ,

despite them having a aqward looking normal that works perfectly in that situation

but I guess we look at things differently

I used to hate the game like everyone else here… but then… i got good at it.

I got good at that game. But this thread is

A. Hilarious. I can’t stay away.

B. The one place where I can bitch without having to make any sense whatsoever. Sometime my sodium levels are above normal.

We definetly do. Here’s my point of view: “week 1 in the lab with steve, matches played and i conclude he has no antiair”. Here’s yours: “once i jumped on steve and i swear i got hit in the air, so everyone in the game has good anti-air”.

I decided to give this game at least 2 more weeks to catch me. If not its getting amazoned while I can still grab $40 (hopefully with how fast the price is dropping) for it. Only fun I have with it is playing Nina, but if shes to low to fight or gets killed the fun factor is done. Other characters just dont feel good to play imo.

The whole game is kinda like having sex without an erection. I mean… its in there but… ugh.

yer but we was talking about Steve not every character, we can talk about every character In the game every normal if you want mind you

so are you saying that with correct spacing some normals that don’t look like they can anti air can’t ever be used In that fashion?

People want their braindead end all be all AA’s from SF2/4 back. That’s fine, but this game isn’t SF2/4.
