The Official Ranting Thread

It’s okay. You managed to post two of our matches and I posted one, so all is not lost. I’m just about to test how FRAPS would work now on my new PC but since I have no matches to record I just tried doing a combo video. The framerate still drops but this time it’s at around 40 - 49 fps. I can’t believe how much of a resource hog FRAPS is as it still manages to drop my FPS even using an i3 processor with 4 GB DDR 3 RAM and a GT 630 graphics card. -_-

Well, if the framerate still drops, just reduce the resolution. If it’s just down to 40 - 49 fps reducing the resolution should bump that up to 60 fps while recording (that’s what works for me when I use my slightly slower desktop computer).

Also, setting the framerate to FIXED instead of VARIABLE in the config file for the game helps as well. Though it doesn’t seem to help as much as it does in SF4 for some reason…

40-49 is already at half-size. At full size the framerate will be drastically lower at around 30-something. :frowning:

Oh. Well in that case, I don’t know what to tell you.

Raven could zone him out and teleport the whole match but I mean, who would really be able to pull that off against a good Gief player? Try maintaining that 99 seconds and see how much damage that amounts to and yes that teleport kick is definitely a bad move and loses more often than not. I can honestly say Nina has given me the majority of my victories against Gief players without Raven and jump back stars to get me in. I can understand if you haven’t seen her pinwheel cheerleading move(Overhead)enough though lol! It’s really not that many people on XBL playing Nina, just the usual Hugo/Gief, Ryu/Ken, Rufus/Ryu, Kazuya/Jin teams. Your reasons for crouch blocking on wake up are well sustained.

My Kuma? He’s just okay. My friend’s Lei/Kuma(the non screaming one) is scary.

Colorado far, north of Denver. I play on my business line wired straight to modem, so usually Cali connections work fine.

Doesn’t work. I figured out if just don’t join his party and play Guy against him he’ll quit right away. Last night it was "Guess you’re learning to be cheap with Heihachi cuz of his stupid unblockable counter attack move"
You know, the HCF+K one.

There’s a reason it’s unblockable lol

So this is what happens everytime I fight an idiot with a pelican character. Dammit. I called it a night after one match. F this!

Hah, finally recovered my Karate Fighter title. :encore:

That Stupid bear, Christie and a couple of other new characters have eaten away my BP. It’s so fucking stupid that a lot of people are riding on that match up unfamiliarity to get free wins. I wish more people would play these characters to learn that shit.

This is like SSFIV Gen all over again…damn It’s a brand new day and I’m still flipping tables thanks to online BS. uggghhhh.

Could take them into training mode and see what’s what, that’s what I tend to do with a character that pisses me off. I remember doing this for Jin in particular at like, week 2. Spent quite a few hours practicing blocking and AA’ing Jin’s crossup (j.HK I think?) because people kept hitting me with it online.

Only character that hasn’t helped at least a little bit with is Rufus. I just can’t seem to stop his assault. :frowning:

I guess I will have to do that as much as I hate wasting time on training mode. I just hate being there. Time is gold and I’d rather learn on the battlefield. But since everybody picks stupid mishimas all the time I guess I have no choice.

If you want to get past that B or B+ you gotta practice against everything that downright flattens your face. I think most of us here had to endure long boring ass hours in that lameass training room. 2 weeks ago I got my ass beaten in by Alisa. I had to train against that annoying spambot just so I could come up with some counter strategies to swing the match-up in my favor. I’m at the point where I hate losing just as much as you. That’s why I will train immediately against something rather than sacrifice 56+ bp each time I encounter it.

lol Sorry about that Songi. But there just aren’t many ways that Alisa can approach without getting blown up in the face with no meter.

It’s all good, just really sucks that my projectile punishes don’t work at all against Alisa. Totally ruins the entire game for Xiaoyu and nothing worse than blowing meter on worthless AC’s that just get you put back in jail again.

Man I have a life. If I’m gonna have to do all that shit on a constant basis. I guess I have no choice but to say goodbye to this shit. Fucking online idiots doing stupid shit and acting stupider. How I would wish to just go through my TV and fucking break their faces at times. Today I have encountered nothing more than disrespectful motherfuckers both on the mic and by taunting when they are lagging or have that huge life lead.

The cracks on this broken ship are starting to show and I’m talking about SFxT as a game. Unless they hurry the fuck up with that patch I might just retire from this shit. Sorry.

There’s no incentive involved and my local scene has dropped this shit for good. I think I might be one of the only 4 people in my entire country playing this. I know deep down all the flaws exists a fun game. But these flaws are too fucking annoying and stupid to deal at times that it really does kill any hype you have for this shit.

I think fighting games have fucking made me a misarable person ever since I started taking them seriously. I even lowered my grades these last two semesters because of this shit. I am so mad right now…

nah… if you wanna get past b or b+ you just gotta play a lot. no skill needed until you get to A and even that’s debatable

Man, I’m super sad right now.

I found my uncle’s old Super Street Fighter II disc in a box at my grandma’s house, and I decided to try it out. My pc is incompatible :frowning:

you mean you have the same face as the girl in your avatar?
