Sadly endless lobbies are a rare sight on the PC, dunno why
I still get 300-400 damage for free (Depending on the character) without needing to do tight links, not to mention easy hit-confirm into EX or Super. That sucks when you got 900 vitality or when you’re down to 350 and you know you’re gonna die cause the opponent’s got a Tekken character and 1 bar to Tag Cancel off an easy juggle. If he drops the juggle, it doesn’t matter cause unlike links, juggles are safe if you miss them.

That doesn’t change the fact that jabs are your best bet for meterless damage opportunities. You can chain them into mid and heavy then go into a juggle for a good chunk of life. No reason not to use them unless you’re trying to style or you got meter to spare for 500-700 damage.

Auto combos are a joke when you don’t hit confirm and throw them out randomly. Otherwise, it’s a free combo without doing the inputs. Lots of characters have preset bnbs that use links that are easy to drop, and they can be tag canceled . Also, having quick combos doesn’t restrict you from doing regular combos. It’s another option for easy damage.

Last time I was on PSN, I fought a Gief with over 10000BP and lost to his single button GHs and SPDs. Can’t mess up a reversal SPD when you don’t have to spin the d-pad/stick. I’m still fighting autotech players committed to blocking since I can’t throw them (unless I’m a grappler) or stand still waiting for me to attack cause they have autoblock + meter to spare and the only thing I can use to punish has a startup of 7 frames (unless I’m Marduk, then it’s 4 frames).
Of course a lot of stuff in this game is banned in tournaments but a lot of people here are sticking to online, where all of it is legal, even in ranked.

Lots of people hate the Custom Color system for stuff like that.
Guess what I’m saying is a lot of these complaints are legit enough to make people have negative opinions about the game without having to ride a bandwagon.
I just don’t like that kind of simplicity in a game supposedly created for SF and Tekken players. It’s not what I’m looking for.
Maybe they did fix it but I’ve already written this game off for a variety of reasons (some gameplay reasons, some about Capcom’s business ethics). I know the jab stuff is in AE and I’m not really a fan of it. But overall I like AE and the jab-confirm is not as rampant on that game from my experiences.
So in other words, its a failed feature in the game. From game breaking mechanic to dead weight. Stuff like this shouldn’t even be in the final game to begin with. And gems banned in tournaments doesn’t matter when tournament rules do not apply to the actual game. Regular players still have to deal with the BS.
I remember a time when we would get a stage for each character in the game. Capcom is competing with fighting game titles that offer two times as many stages as SFxT. Capcom had access to tons of SF and Tekken backgrounds for inspiration. They could’ve at least recreated a few and most of us would have been ecstatic. Tekken series has many variant stages, but that doesn’t stop Namco for making at least 15 arenas.
Same issue with the stages. There was a time when we got at least remixed themes of each character. Now we’re getting considerably less. A catalog of classic tunes from both franchises, and we get nothing to write home about with SFxT.
I don’t understand why Capcom couldn’t include a color wheel out the box. Downloading basic colors? seriously? It’s insulting.
It may be just aesthetics, but I wholeheartedly agree. They had so much material to remix while still being able to throw in these antarctic stages for story purpose.
I was hoping for 3D versions of classics like the Ryu rooftop, Sagat statue and maybe even Alpha classics like the Rolento stage [I would´ve loved Birdie´s filthy toilet room ]. Instead we got Pitstops and Hovercraft garbage with more shit going on in the background than on the fighting plain, sprinkled with horrendous Keyboard pre-installed beats.
I know the game has bigger problems than that, but if they ever release any DLC classic stages, I´ll gladly pay anything they charge.
Edit: While I´m already ranting about visuals: The earthquakes. These fucking earthquakes when a fighter gets knocked down. Yeah sure, Sakura, probably 60 pounds heavy, is swept off her feet and causes multiple 40 ton trucks to shake like a bomb hit the ground. AAARRGGG!
The ‘earthquakes’ are something I wouldn’t mind if they were backed up by the sound. For instance, in 3rd strike Hugo would do his super and you’d hear a full battleship bombardment going on whenever he hit the ground.
I like the earthquake aesthetics, but only the SFIII series was able to do it right.
Not as brain dead as you are making it out to be.

*random but I’m going to PMS rage!
I hate fighting grumple in ranked he’s so fraudulent in ranked with ryu and his other street fighter empty jump low short jabbing into abcd SF buddies makes me rage. Reminds me of what I saw when I watched evo for the first time sfxt edition *turns back and plays UMCV3. No offense grumple I know your a srk member but I’ll never respect you as a good player, empty jump low short more online jab jab auto combo launch fraud. Try that in TT2 I’ll punch your little willy off with miguel. Oh and I dont care if I dont like miguels style of fighting he’s emmm… :P~~~~~~~~

SimSim is an ungrateful little cunt.
That is all.
lol empty jump lows online are unblockable. But I don,t really care about that most of the time since my characters can AA pretty well.
Guy is such a BS character though. It’s impossible to know which side his elbow or jump attack will hit. I swear I often had to block his jump as a cross-up but then Guy appeared in front of me lol. So much sillyness.
I’m taking Guy to the lab cuz I have no idea how to defend vs his shenanigans…
Fix the netcode please Capcom… teleporting opponents are seriously driving me CRAZY
Even worse, I’m getting kicked out of GFWL again since last night.
I had that once, too. gfwl works in mysterious ways indeed
Stinks indeed.
I’m getting closer to C+ now, which I’m not sure if I should look forward to it. I don’t think I’m ready to face-off with rank Bs on a regular basis. :wonder:
You should not give a single fuck about ranks and points tbh., there are so many people abusing a single trick or move to climb the ladder its ridiculous (Theres even an A-dude who plays Ogre / Nina or sth, the moment he has to switch to Nina he is completely lost, its amazing really)
Even i got to B+ and I started playing fighting games this year so w/e
I guess you’re right. I got thinking about that because of my last fight against a B-rank yesterday. He completely thrashed me lol.
I’ve been watching my replays and it seems that I need to work more on stuff, such as a different approach in offense, neutral jumping, and crouching anti-airs.
BUT BUT GGPO!!! THE WAY OF THE FUTURE!!
Honestly why doesn’t this game have a gallery mode? Because I can’t fathom a reason why it doesn’t, it just makes playing single player even more worthless because there is nothing to gain. For example I found the Steve and Hworang ending hilarious but if I want to watch it again I’ll have to do arcade mode all over again or watch it on youtube.
Even in Marvel vs Capcom 3 which was accused of giving fans so little had a gallery mode where you could watch movies and endings as much as you wanted to and the character bio with power grid was a nice bonus but in this game absolutely nothing you can’t even watch the badass trailers that were released to promote the game or the opening movie.
In street fighter iv you could unlock character art and special illustrations by completing trial mode which was a nice thing to work towards in this game you get…some titles for online. In Tatsunoko vs Capcom you could get stage art and special illustraions by playing the game. And in 3rd strike you could get special illustrations as well.
In my opinion it seems that Capcom just go really lazy and couldn’t be f*cked to put in anything for single play or a gallery. I could somewhat forgive this if the online was superb but it’s simply average and thus nothing note worthy like Soul Calibur V.
I agree and I can’t believe that this track is nowhere in the game:

It only appeared in the Asuka/Lili reveal promo and that’s it. I still think it’s a better main theme than “Honest Eyes”. Oh well. I might be getting TTT2 and I will probably customise one of the stages with that theme along with some themes from other games like 3rd Strike.
Gallery mode coming soon to xbl/psn for $4.99.
If cashcom give you everything from the beginning, how else are they going to rip you off?
