hey just a question does the q4 come with 1 24mm Chinese brand or sanwa button? i checked mine when i received it it was :S
Sorry another question about the Q4RAF regarding fitting an LS-32-01. (looking into getting up the 6 button ice-blue version now)
Does the Q4RAF fit the LS-32-01 with it’s SS mounting plate at a standard mounting height of 23mm-24mm from the bottom of the balltop to the control panel as specified here?
Or will I have to take off the plexiglass to access the mounting screwholes, remove the Seimitsu SS mounting plate and attach it directly to the Q4’s metal mounting plate as described here to get the standard 23mm-24mm mounting height?

breakage: you will have to remove the plexi to install another stick unit. concerning your question about the metal plate of the seimitsu stick, i will ask LLX tomorrow, so stay tuned for an update.
ragnorok: surely you can remove the plexi and the artwork without any damage:
firstly, open the bottom plate of the arcade stick.
secondly, remove the balltop from the stick unit. this is most easily done if you block rotation of the stick unit with a screwdriver.
thirdly, unscrew the plexi. then you can take the plexi and the artwork off.
I hadn’t originally realized it came with a plexi. I thought it was a thick sticker like on a TE.

and, to answer your original question: you won’t be able to “save” the artwork off of your original Q4 plexi. sorry.
Hmm, so what form is the artwork on the regular Q4 in? I like the original look but I really want to put an LS-32 in it if it’s going to be a main stick I use.
well, the artwork in the original Q4 is directly on the plexi - i think it is a foil. so just follow my description and replace the third point with: “thirdly, unscrew the plexi to take it off.”
So just to make sure I’m 100%, will the original foil artwork on the plexi be destroyed in the process of switching the joystick?
as long as you don’t do funny things in the exchange process - no, of course not. i wouldn’t even know how to damage the artwork if you were sloppy.

there won’t be a PSD with the actual artwork. i can ask for the template as a high-res PSD file (instead of a JPG), though.

@ paxos, well that’s weird, i ordered q4 of niking @ http://www.nikingstore.com/shop/ and when i received it i removed the last 2 buttons and put the hole plugs in and i noticed the 24mm button was sanwa brand. i have also noticed some q4 has silver circles stickers to cover the screws and some had black stickers. mybe its different batch of sticks released with upgrades? i saw unboxing vids on youtube and some had the iphone look-a-like headphone but my one is blackc that clips into my ear, new batch has sanwa start button?
