The Official Qanba Fightstick Thread (New products Coming)

No idea why these Qanba’s aren’t getting more attention from the gaming community.

The Q3 is hands down the best looking stick on the market today. Is it the wireless
that is turning people off? I find it hard to believe that wireless could really affect
performance.

Wait forget that. You can play it wired as well.

Madness that Qanba isn’t a more known name by now.

I’d love a discount coupon for this. If it was a bit more affordable and shipping was free, I’d pick one up a Q3 for PS3.
These products have warranty, right?

I am looking for a stick that works without hassle for ps3 and pc with none of the problems the TE ps3 stick has. Would the QANBA Q3 fit the bill?
Also, where best to buy it? I am in the UK and there is an offer on ebay for the stick including shipping at 130 (british pounds). But that’s a bit much… Any cheaper alternatives? Is it possible to order directly from QANBA from the UK?

Thanks…

I tried to buy a Qanba 2 from Dealextreme.com but they are out of stock, I waited 3 weeks and they weren’t able to send me one.

I live in South America, is there somewhere I can buy a Qanba that will send it here?

Hey, I want to get a qanba 3 for my pc… does any one know if it suffers the same problem as the mad catz in that you need an universal host controller? I only have an enhanced host controller. Could someone test it out on pc for me please? thanks.

Can you mount a Seimitsu LS-55 in a Qanba 2? I might buy one to replace my HRAP3. I like the button layout better.

Our PCB was designed and tested by our own development team to ensure PC/PS3 compatibility. Therefore, all of our PS3 sticks supports PS3 and PC.

Absolutely.

Shengee,

I placed an order yesterday and messed up. I was stupid and didn’t put my apartment #. I tried contacting ahcart and calling. No response via email, and the number provided on the site was ‘the wrong number’ according to the gentleman on the other line. Is there any way you could add in my apartment number for me? I could confirm any information you need in PM. Just thought I’d try to get a hold of you while it’s in processing.

Thanks a ton.

Hiya, I emailed the address supplied to buy a stick direct from CHina, but theres been no reply, did he get the email?

Got reply now thanks.

Also, does qanba 3 support wired? I actually don’t want wireless, should I go for qanba 2?? Which is more responsive, qanba 2 xbox or ps3? I plan to play mainly on pc.

Just ordered my Qanba 3/Q3! Can’t wait for it!
By the way, anyone have a template or measurements for the template? I’m already thinking of swapping my custom Sanwa stuff from my SE Stick to the Qanba 3 around, might as well, add a art while I’m at it.

Data passes through the USB dongle for Q3. Only reason to wire it up is to charge the battery. Q2’s stick and buttons are put lower than Q3 because of the 24mm buttons on the face, but both use Sanwa parts (main 8 buttons and JLF for Q2). For dedicated wired use I’d have to pick Q2. It’s cheaper too.

In your opinion, since it sure isn’t the general consensus. Anyway, great looking sticks and I hope you guys have great success!

That’s the assumption I’m relying on. I was recently looking for a TE until I saw the specs of the Q3, mine that just shipped out probably costs less than a new HRAP3 and since Canada doesn’t really offer the TE stick(local classifieds are selling it for near $180), I can’t really compare. On paper, the Q3 just slightly beats the Tournament Edition with it’s wireless feature while everything else looks competitively(as well as the HRAP). From hands on experience, I didn’t like the HRAP when compared to the TE stick and the heavier, the better.

We’ll see in 4 - 5 days when mine arrives. While I wait, I think I’ll go look for a thread in this section about templates in general for plexiglass cases.

F$%k, I should have seen this thread before I went on my stupid quest of building a custom stick. :crybaby: Parts alone is costing me $120+, it would have been even more if I did not have access to wood work tools :crybaby:.

I want both wired and wireless though (changed my mind!)… as in. competitions - wired, chilling out at home - wireless… are you saying the q3 can not do only just wired if I wish? Also, do you know if the battery is a replacable one? It sounds like i have to get a new battery if it breaks, from the manufacterer? As i live abroad, getting a new dedicated battery pack from qanba would be hard!

The q2 is wired and doesn’t require batteries right? What do you mean put lower? as in less in the centre, or do you mean depth wise? Would you suggest xbox or ps3 version? I mainly play on pc - ggpo mame esc sort of things.

I thought that the wired/wireless feature works just like the PS3 controller, you can have your mini USB to USB cable plugged in anytime you want. I’m not sure if the switch on the Q3 stick only applies to the wireless capability but I’m sure you can play with a USB cable connected instead of the wireless dongle.

My friend is considering this stick after having me explain to him why this might be potentially better than the TE stick and closer to a custom stick, evilPERSON2009. It’s all good man, atleast you have a choice on what kind of form your custom stick takes now.
