If my eyes were closed and hands locked to the stick and the corresponding 8 buttons, I’d have trouble guessing which stick was which. I recommend them both, it all depends on your taste for design and most importantly budget.
Just would love to know. Any news regarding the Ice blue and white Q4s I’ve spotted on Gremlin Solutions FB page?
here is my thought process now that i have a decent job. if you’re going to spend money on something, do it right, and not go half way, then the full way later on* unless you’re positive to make back what you spent* So I COULD buy a SE or something that’s under 100, but if i end up down the road want to take fighter games seriously, I’ll have to invest in another stick.
So why not spend the extra money now, and if I don’t like the whole fighting thing, then I’ll sell it. I wouldn’t have a problem selling a q4, as they’re sold out almost worldwide. but if i went the SE route, it’s capable of breaking down enough to where i wouldn’t get back 100 percent of what i invested in it.
If you have the money, invest in something that will hold it’s value, as you are capable of getting it back out. Don’t cheat yourself.

at first , I would like to say I am grateful for this bunch of information. I would like to ask myself, because I will buy my first arcade stick. I want to have it good. I am mad of my messing with xbox controller for SSF IV AE PC. I would like to ask, what are the main difference of Q3 Empire Arcadia and Q4 RAF 3in1. I believe Main is PS3/PC - PS3/PC/Xbox360. But I want to ask, if the cable is somewhat detachable in both arcade sticks or just in one or in none. In the case it would be destroyed by me or my cats, if there is a possibility to repair or buy new one (in Europe). Also anyone caught differences in components, performance between those two? hello, i’m considering to buy a Qanba Q4RAF as soon as possible, i already got a TE round 2 and wondering if they both got same stick/buttons, and if the Q4 stick has same height as the TE r2 one. any answer please?
Yes, same stick (JLF) & buttons (OBSF-30). Not sure about the height since I don’t have a Q4RAF. If it’s the same height as a Q3 EMP then I can take a look & let you know.
EDIT: Just found out the Q3 EMP’s the same height as a Q4 RAF. The TE’s ~0.5" taller than a Q3 EMP.
my qanba q4raf started d/c’ing randomly while play 3soe. This never happened before… the first time my internet and the qanba went haywire. Can it be interference from my cellphone or something?
That new red case’s sick!!! Are those Seimitsu buttons or the new Sanwa’s in both of those red & ice-blue cases?!? Is it fair to assume the same manufacturer for the joystick lever as well (LS-32-01 or JLF)?
thanks a lot for the reply in advance, good to know about them having same stuff, talking about height you mean 0.5 inches, right? so almost like 1.50cm… do you think it is that noticeable as difference?
I’m not gonna lie to you…I literally just got the Q3 EMP on Monday (vendor’s based in Hong Kong) & I still haven’t used it yet since I’ve been slammed with work & too tired when I get home from work. Lemme use it for at least a few hours then let you know tomorrow.

My bad, I went out all last night so didn’t get to use it yet. Will let you know later tonight. Previously, I had a TE rd 1, TE-S (both black & white), TE-S (Chun-Li) & currently have a TE rd 2 w/the MK panel so yeah I’ve had some experience with the TE’s, haha!

what you mean your Q4 isn’t working nice?
The B button sometimes respond sometimes doesn’t. I did opened to check it out the connection and nothing it’s wrong with it.Must be the PCB. I am a collector so sometimes I don’t test it right away,it change after this happened. My friends aren’t having any problem, I was the lucky one lol
