i will ask qanba tomorrow if any q3 emp ever had this issue :).
but i recommend that you just try your stick out.
Ok, thanks! It should be here any day now.
Interesting…my previous post was deleted without me even knowing about it despite the fact that info was readily available simply by going to Qanba’s website. I didn’t even post anything negative, just inquiring about 2 sticks that’s on their main page so not like it’s a big secret or anything…
Bought my Q4 May-ish, and it’s been doing this ever since. It normally doesn’t happen enough to bother me (once every two hours or so) but I’d still like to get it fixed. Is the normal solution to this returning it, or does this all depend on what it looks like on the inside?
Also I don’t know if this means anything, but it has only ever disconnected on my PS3, not any at the locals I play at or my friends’ PS3s, and never on my 360 but on one of them at locals
maybe USB Cable, please PM me your email.
Do you have an idea when the new Q4 RAF3in1 fightsticks will be released and restocked (the overseas white)?
I received my Q4 RAF3in1 today from play-asia after a long wait due to backorder/out of stock, order was placed on Aug 1st.
Comments on the stick.
I have been impressed so far, I do however have one problem… When I try to config the stick for directions such as left/right/up/down in game for Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition (PC) it doesn’t allow me to do so. I can set the buttons to kick/punch/start/select etc. The stick itself works fine on XBOX 360 and PS3
Is there a solution to this? I have checked the settings through device manager, (control panel>game controllers>qanba joystick > right click and go to controller settings > properties) there is no option to remap the buttons and stick, only options are reset to default and calibrate in settings tab, in test tab there are no options, however it indicates that all directions on the stick and all buttons are working correctly.
I have also tried using joy2key emulator as I’ve used that before on a Mayflash Stick successfully but does not worked for this Qanba Q4RAF. Switching the stick to XBOX360 mode also doesn’t work, drivers install however when the stick in plugged in the game doesn’t load, just goes to a black screen and in task manager it shows program as “not responding”.
Any suggestions?
Try using the mode button. It should switch between XY Axis and POV Hat. SSF4 AE PC detects directions from XY axis.
Genius, that worked perfectly!
thanks, the_third.
Man I don’t even own the stick and I somehow helped lol. I would love to get one soon though…
Glad to see some of these issues are being easily resolved, makes me feel a lot more confident about my order
The first thing I did when I unpacked it was take out the L1 and L2 buttons to the far right, replacing them with the button caps supplied and it was an easy job so future mods/part replacement definitely wont be an issue. Very clean finish with the wiring inside, all buttons use removable plugs for easy swap over.

Had my first session with the stick tonight and there’s really nothing to complain about. I even had my friend that owns a TE use it for about 3-4 hours to compare the difference and needless to say he wasn’t disappointed. From a personal point of view I highly recommend this stick if you cannot get your hands on a TE or want to spend a little less. Happy gaming!
So you would recommend a te over the qanba?
Just an update, play-Asia got a shipment in of the qanba.
129 usd. But shipping will be more expensive. It balances out from other retailers selling them at 150.
I’m holding out for 3 in 1 blue or the white I’ve been hearing about.
If you need a premium stick that works on both 360 and PS3, then get a Q4. If you need a premium stick which only works on one format, then go for a TE or HRAP V edition.
It’s also important to look at the prices for each stick - if you’re only saving something like $10 then perhaps you should still get a Q4. Completely up to you, tbh.
i prefer the Q3 and Q4 sticks over a TE in any case :).
I’m totally new to fighter games. I’m waiting for FA to get their stock in, and in the mean time. I just bought a TE today so I can start learning stick so when I get the q4, it won’t be as foreign.
Not many new players would do that. Guess you can call me a Qanba fanboy from the get go
Sorry if this has been asked before, but I’m trying to mod my Q4. I’m just getting custom art done with a new plexi glass. I just don’t know how to remove the plexi glass that’s already on the stick. I checked a youtube video of some one doing this with the Q3. I removed the 6 screws but the top wasn’t coming off easily so I didn’t want to risk breaking the thing. Any tips?
open up the bottom and disconnect the buttons
I’m just wondering since the start button is so close to the buttons if anyone has accidentally hit it yet? Is there a way to lock the start button?
