Funny thing is hori sticks are put together in china. Just like any other mass produced products. I have a hori rap vx sa and the bottom of the stick has a sticker that said “made in china”
I’m not implying at all by my insinuations that the quality is poor. A company like Madcatz has to pay Microsoft or Sony for the rights to make peripherals for their systems and to market them for that system. I’m guessing Qwanba isn’t doing that because of the fact that system is dual mod capable which Microsoft wouldn’t allow. This takes off a large portion of the cost to manufacture.
The other important thing about the China thing. When a company can build something in house and do all the development that allows something to be cheaper especially in one of the cheapest places in the world to manufacture goods.
The product they sell can be priced competitively lower than those of other companies simple because its cheaper for them to make it in the first place.

Also, it’s not that cheap considering Qanba’s market is still primarily Chinese. A stick with price slightly lower than the Madcatz TE is actually very expensive in their intended market (Q4 retails for ~$120 in China). In fact, Qanba even has a full sanwa stick retailing for $60 in their Chinese store. That should tell you Q4 is most likely Qanba’s top of the line flagship product for the years to come. It’s a matter of perspective. Might as well capitalize on the deals while we can :P.
