Hey xiang, I just opened up my Q3 wireless (ps3) it seems there is a spare button. Its not wired to anything and hasnt got any labels on side of case. Was this done on purpose as a spare button? or was there a reason behind this etc? Thought it was strange
this is done on purpose as a spare button
Thought so, thanks!
Does anyone know where I would be able to purchase plexi (clear) for the Qanba q3 wireless? Unlike the EMP q3s they do not seem to have the clear plexi
Yes it does have the plexi.
So its clear? I just have to take the red template off is it? I only had a quick look at it when i opened it up last time…
wher can i get that stick with the handle?
^ r ther any for xbox…i can only find ps3/pc ones…i wud like an xbox one with handle
I was thinking of getting the Q2 or Q3 from play-asia, but the Q3 seem to be out of stock for PS3.
If anyone has owned a Q2 or tried one, do the 3 buttons up top (start, home, select) get in the way when using the stick? They look awfully close to the stick and I’ve read posts of people accidentally hitting those buttons during play.
Do you know if play-asia is going to restock on Q3 models? If so, can you tell us when?
is the one with the handle a Q2 or a Q3??
also i really want this one with the handle for xbox360 but cnt find it
Empire Q3 is the only one with a handle.
You can always rig a handle on the 360 Q3, or have someone dual-mod the Empire stick.
I used to have a Q2 but I sold it after I got my Empire stick. The buttons up top were never a problem for me, but I am not prone to mashing anyway. FWIW people also say that the start button on a HRAP V3 SA gets in the way but that was never a problem for me either.
Thanks for replying.
Just wondering, is there a big difference in quality between the Q2 and the Empire sticks? Or is it just a design thing? How long is the wire?
Also, did you ever test the Q2 on PC. I’m planning on using it for SF4 on my Windows 7 PC.
Objectively speaking, both the Q2 and Empire sticks use Sanwa parts so the buttons and the stick itself should be equivalent. I never looked closely at the PCB for the Q2 closely so I am unsure if it uses the same one that the Empire stick uses. The Empire stick has a handle on top and a compartment for the cable, which the Q2 did not. Both come with plexi for easy art swaps. I never really extend the wires of any of my sticks so I dunno how long they are exactly. I never tested the Q2 on a PC, so I couldn’t help you with that. Your question got me thinking about that so I tested my Empire stick on my laptop and it worked fine plug-and-play with no configuration or driver installation needed (tested on MAME 0.139 installed in Ubuntu Linux, running on an Asus laptop).
Qanba Empire Arcadia looks really and I’d like to have one. Where could I get one from? I’m really interested but getting it from playasia costs nearly as much as the stick itself.
I was considering on getting a Qanba Empire Arcadia to have something different to play on, possibly for my PC. The main thing holding me back is that I’m not sure if I am comfortable paying the $130 price tag when MadCatz TEs show up for $99 every now and then.
On a side note, do EMP members use this stick? Whenever I’ve seen them play on streams, I don’t see them using this.
Edit: Play-Asia wants $57.40 for shipping making it cost $187 It seems like a nice stick, but I think I would have buyer’s remorse paying that much for it.
Holy cow. Need a template for the QanBa Q1 Double Stick For PC.
I was thinking about ordering my Qanba Q3 from this site (goldenbridge.hk) but I’m wondering if anybody has any experience from this place.
