Unboxing the Qanba Q3 Wireless from Brazilian player Earquemann.
He bought from play-asia and paid INSANE shipping and taxes. That’s why it’s easier for a lot of people to buy from free shipping stores.
Dude just posted a review on play-asia saying the stick sucks and whatnot.
Any reviews from you guys ?
I’m not so sure about that review from play-asia. It has some strange things in it, like saying that the button layout is strange when both the TE and the Qanba use a viewlix layout. It also says that it is not as heavy as a TE, but a TE is around 10.4 pounds shipped (according to Amazon) while I am looking at the tracking on the stick I ordered and it says 11.2 pounds so they’re about the same. If anything, I’m more worried about the art bunching up that NRX noticed. Well, I guess I’ll know for sure in a couple of days.
In the meantime, can anyone help me with this stick art I’ve been working on:
Note: The buttons are all-white because I plan to use plain white Sanwas for this. The background doesn’t have to be orange. I just threw that on there for lack of any better ideas.
I’m a bit of a noob with gimp, so I took inspiration from a lot of other stick designs I saw around here. I’m happy with what I have so far, but I am at a bit of a loss with how to go from here. The area for the logo seems a bit bare, and there’s that giant border in the top half that I need to fill with… something. I’ll accept any advice, or if you want to work on the psd file directly it’s over here: Vanille.psd.rar
I just received mine and the first thing that I made is change the artwork (using the template that those guys from QANBA posted). It has been really easy to switch, really friendly.
My impressions on the stick are quite good, I have a lot of sticks and I’m a harcore player (I have 3 TE’s, custom sticks, hori’s also Im waiting for receive my hori VLX premium from networkingyuppy ^^).
The dimensions of the QANBA Empire Arcadia are excellent, really spaced for your hands, it is really big like a TE or bigger, it is heavy, wood construction very well painted it has a lot of good details on it, I cannot explain property since my english sucks! loool
I’m going to dual mod it with a xbox madcatz pad later this week.
The only thing that worries me are the button emplacement, they do not seem to stay in place really solid (due to the plexi’s thickness) you cannot note the button clip fixed at any moment (not a major problem tho).
The rest, believe me, its perfect ( I really love the handle thingie on it, it is amazing for tournaments and stuff, very brilliant idea). I really enjoy it, the price is also really competitive, I strongly recommend this for all the stick players, together with a TE and a VLX.
Strong points:
- Comes with plexi, so you can costumize it quite easy
- The design and materials are sweet, looks like a custom stick (solid!)
- Easy to dual mod, plenty of space inside
- The packaging includes a towel for clean and 2x AM-30
- The handle thing !! it rocks
Weak points:
- The clip buttons does not clip at all same goes for the AM-30 (those are more sensitive)
- Sensitive to getting scrapes

I wonder what is the QANBA’s profit manufacturing those sticks lol, but coming from Shenzhen everything is posible!
On my next business trip I’ll try to visit QANBA, since all my suppliers are from Shenzhen (security cameras and DVR)

First impressions:
The stick seems pretty good. All the buttons and functions seemed to work fine. I played some MVC2 with it and I was pulling off AHVB and Ironman infinites no problem. Triangle jumps were no problem. I’ll have to play with this some more, but for now it seems on par with my HRAP V3 SA and the Madcatz TE (round 2) that my friend plays with. I liked how it came with a cleaning cloth and two button plugs. It’s the little touches that show Qanba really wanted this to be a great product.
Sweetness! Wow, everything points to way higher quality on this thing than I thought possible. The idea of a commercial wooden case (even if it is MDF) is really cool.
Respect for the speedy (and very nice) art mods too.
If I will get one of these (Arcadia Empire), should I drill two hole at the sides or should I change the side buttons for use with pinball softwares?
I need a six button top and two button at the sides layout. So, I need to use the blind buttons and put 2 big button at the sides, or change the place of the small buttons.
I will use for PC only.
QanBa Q3-XS For XBOX360 Joystick
Haven’t heard about qanba sticks until the empire arcadia stick came out. Looks and sounds like a legit stick, I plan on investing in an EMP 360 in the near future.
Is this play-asia 360 qanba the same QanBa Q3-XS in these tournament pictures you posted? Also, will there be an 360 version of the Empire Arcadia Qanba?

Smoother than what? I don’t see how this stick would be any different from little Timmy’s JLF in his toolbox stick. Is the JLF modified? Is the stick height super duper measured for maximum leverage?
