It is said, that the game is in English with or without jap subtitles, or Japanese with no subtitles. You are not able to use Japanese language with English subtitles.
Also the graphics have been improved, even though I was fine with the wii graphics because it is stylized.
I see, that’s fine with me then. I just assumed an English voice track wouldn’t be included in the Japanese version.
I think I’ll import it once I’ve made a bit more progress with my current on hold list and I’ve seen what a few people on here have to say.
Rockstar needs to make a GTA with a lot of short stories that mesh together a la Pulp Fiction.
Beat Heavy Rain last night. Great adventure. Now I gotta get Perfect Crime and those other trophies
Yeah man, it’s finally here. And only $10 too. A full, recent-gen arcade game of 20 levels for that price is a good deal.
I’d dig it.

20 levels is way fucking nice., i got outrun by sega and its got like 15 courses of 1 minute or so each. its probably possible like in outrun to play all missions (races) thus do all 20 or so missions in 1 go. its cool, arcade games are usually done in 20 or so minutes so its all good (feels like back in them neo geo days). i miss the arcades.
This is where the game shines, imo. I love the depth to it…more action-rpgs(*I emphasize “action” since I actually despise any other kind of rpg.) should be this deep or at least be somewhere close. One player’s Shadow Warrior could be built completely different from another player’s Shadow Warrior…and you actually have to read up on some things and have some kind of general plan for how the character is going to evolve. I always enjoy that kind of complexity when it comes to the player’s character development. Heh, I don’t even have this on ps3 though… I only had the 360 version.
I started on inFamous recently…so far it’s only “ok” to me. It’s strange to me that many people preferred this to Prototype when they came out at or around the same time. As usual though, I enjoy that there are morality-based decisions… I usually like that recurring theme of moral choices and consequences going on in a game. In Prototype, there was no morality scale, though you could tackle just about any situation in a variety of ways. Anyway, I’m playing thru as a good guy so far.

English voice/JPN subtitles
English voice no subtitles
Japanese voice no subtitles
Those are the three options for voice/subs.
There is not an option for Japanese voice with English subs.
Also PS3 version doesn’t have Red blood, it uses Black instead. Kind of lame, but I will get over it 10 minutes into the game.
I ordered it and hope to have it in a few days to play.
I guess they still have to learn what gamers already know: wii owners on average don’t buy many games at all. (YOU might, I say to whoever decides to get a wild hair up teh butt and bitch about that statement. You are the exception. Bask in your uniqueness) Everyone I know with a wii is still fucking around with that sports pack that came with the system, and parents who bought a wii for their kids are generally “You already HAVE a game for the wii. You don’t need any more.”.
Given the mediocre reviews it got, I wasn’t going to drop $60 and change on it.
But now that it is only $20, I might give it a go.
the way you worded it had me confused. anyway, let me know how it is, i might be interested in purchasing as well.

Yeah I will give my impressions for what its worth. I hope I can put some time in it this week & weekend if they ship it fast enough. Otherwise it will be fighting for my time with SSFIV. I know I’m going to OD on Dee Jay. Matter of fact I need to take next Wednesday off of work so I can play it all day.
FYI: Monster Hunter Tri sold a metric fuckton on the Wii in Japan. And that’s who they care about, don’t delude yourself into thinking otherwise.
Historically, Monster Hunter sells more on the PSP. The console version is an afterthought for Capcom, as console aren’t really the main moneymakers over there. If Monster Hunter were more popular in America, it would have been on an HD console, but it isn’t, so it’s on the Wii.
I <3 Monster Hunter. Easily one of my favorite series of all time. So hard too.
Me too. I’m getting the Wii version of 3 as soon as possible.
Uh…what?
PROTIP: Capcom cares about Japanese sales of MH, not America’s. Wii is #1 there and has been for a minute. Therefore popularity + Japan + console gaming = Wii. Furthermore, it’s #1 in America too, so it’d be a good move here too.
ANOTHER PROTIP: Capcom was going to release MH Tri on PS3. Then they dropped that version because Wii was (and is) outselling PS3.
Sorry to get off-topic but it needed to be said. All I’m gonna say on the subject as this thread does not need to get derailed again.
I’m just saying, if they were concerned with American sales, they’d sacrifice the Japanese numbers for a bit of leeway in the West.
