Server list or matchmaking?

In Starhawk you have both. Matchmaking is good for casual players that just want to be put into a game quickly, or for when we need to enforce that players are not “cheating” or stat padding or whatever you want to call it. It lets the Starhawk servers control which players get put into which games. That said, our fans LOVE it so we let you browse the custom “non-official” games through a server list. This gives you the best of both worlds.

well, its hard to blame them for the 3.2 billion. only 170 million of that is reported to be psn hack related. most of it is earthquake and the general lossage that sony accumulates through non-playstation hardware.

god and hackers hate sony. god about 20 times more, though.

If you can overlook severely over-drawn-out ludicrous cutscenes (like, literally 10 minute long expository… during a “3 minutes until destruction” warning), then, by all means, give it a go.

The combat is mad fun, and the item searching/crafting is addictive as hell.

Doing counter intuitive (read: stupid) backtracking to your ship in order to get all of the relationship points you need for the best ending is ballsack in the zipper, as well.

PSP to PS3 HD re-releases are awesome. There are PSP games I’ve not gotten yet that I’d rather get on PS3.

Star Ocean does have really fun combat. I skipped 95% of the cutscenes though, same with FFXIII. The stories and characters in those games are fucking terrible. Gameplay is awesome in Star Ocean though, while XIII was okay. Hate that every battle boiled down to having to stagger the enemy…that was the whole point to the combat system in that game.

Demon’s Souls shits on both those games. Also, my new MvC3 team is destroying motherfuckers, too bad I missed my local tournament

I recall when I played SO3, every time I didn’t skip a cutscene I cringed. Same with SO4 but I gave up on SO4 rather quickly. Did anyone ever have one of their teammates get staggered in FFXIII? I myself wasn’t a fan of the stagger system. It made the fights unnecessary longer.
