If you need somebody to publish a study or give you statistics or a pie chart to validate your opinion then you’re retarded. Play what you like and stop coming up with rationalizations for it.
Famitsu is widely known to have review ratings bought off by companies. You ALWAYS have to take their reviews with several grains of salt.
Fuck Famitsu, that article makes them even more trash. What were they thinking, even if it was based on current consoles, that’s still a horrible system.

Thanks to everyone for the headset help. I think I’ve narrowed it down to the Blueant Z9i ($30) and the PLantronic’s 835 ($20). Not sure which one, so opinions welcome.
How many of you are getting Lost Planet 2? Gasa and I have been playing the demo constantly if any of you want to join.
Don’t use my PSP much for games anymore, so only just now did I learn Project Aces is making a new Ace Combat for it. Guess this means the chances of a PS3 AC anytime soon are now slim to nil. First Valkyria 2, now this. Damn Japan’s love for portables.
A Crack in Time is my first R&C game with Mr Zurkon, and yeah he’s definitely my favorite weapon to use on a regular basis :lol:. The random chatter is great.

There’s no publication that isn’t “sponsored” (the term they tend to throw around when they really mean “bought out”). I completely get what you’re saying, but even with the multiple instances of sketchiness, I still struggle to find a more reliable publication.
When you look at it, the article from 1up itself is really the problem, I guess. The Famitsu system is a pretty interesting idea, but it’s definitely more of an indication of number of quality titles than a “best library” type thing. But we’ve already discussed this long before you posted. Metacritic uses something similar, if I’m not mistaken, and it’s hard to really say anything negative about a site that just aggregates review scores. (Until they include some website with 2 reviews ever, that give an exclusive game a 3/10, that is. 
)
Assuming you’re referring to me, this “fanboy troll” posts more in the X360 thread than most of the others that frequent it. Ask RC, he runs that one, too. 
Also, were you asking which one you should get (out of FFXIII and MGS4) or did you already have them? I ask because if you’re purchasing them, they’re not really comparable games. Do you prefer JRPG’s or action/stealth? Both are obviously very story-driven and you’ll clock quite a few hours in them, but… I guess either way I would probably say MGS4. FFXIII seems to be hit or miss with a lot of people.
Who ever suggested the changing the TV to cable then back to HDMI I want to thank you. Worked like a charm. I might invest in another HDMI cord though just to be safe.

That was me. Np. I also want to get a new HDMI cable because I need to know if its the HDMI fucking up or the TV. I still have a warranty on my TV, though I’m hoping it’s just the HDMI cable because I’d rather spend 10$ to fix the problem then go through the trouble of calling up Sony, finding out the nearest place to go to get the TV fixed, take it there, etc. etc. Though like I’ve said before, there have been times where I’ve switched to component and that shit had no sound either, so yeah, shit kind of worries me. I’ve never lost sound from just watching TV on its own, or when playing video files off the HDD, just games.
MGS4 has Metal Gear Online, which for some people like SNAAAAAKE is crack.

I own both mgs4 and ff 13 but like a majority of games I own, they are bot finished because something new always comes out 
Yeah, I’m in the same proverbial boat. I’m just playing through Dante’s Inferno, because I just got the platinum in God of War 3 and have been itching for more of that style of game.
I’ve been off sick from work for almost a week with sinusitis, so in between waves of nausea and “omg-my-face-feels-pregnant-and-it’s-going-to-explode”-type headaches, I’ve been getting in some good game time . I actually went ahead and ground out my last 8 levels in Bioshock 2 MP for the platinum in that, too.
Dante’s Inferno isn’t such a bad game really, but I think I should have probably played it first before GoW3, because it’s less polished.
I guess after this, I’ll go ahead with FFXIII, but I’m kind of dreading playing that, because… well, I know it’s gonna take me 50-60 hours to beat, and I don’t have all that much time now. =(

for the tech people, is there a chance we ever might get an emulator to play, lets say neo geo cd games? for instance like this pc neo cd emu where you also have to have the cd’s to play it. playing these games on a ps3 with almost zero loads would be so awesome if ever possible.
