If it just had anti-aliasing it’d look great gameplay wise. That’s my only real gripe. I’ll be picking it up or Gameflying it here soon. The jaggies are really, really noticeable.
Any recommendations on a headset? I’m probably going to buy one for Lost Planet 2.
The official Sony one is probably the best. Even if SOCOM Confrontation is terrible, it’s a good deal, unless you can find a copy of Warhawk with the headset, which is a really good multiplayer game.
If you’re going to go the bluetooth route, I’d pick up any of plantronic’s headsets that are 40 and above. The blue ant is dope too, but it’s like 80. I work for AT&T so I get a lot of these headsets free. I think the sony one is garbage, personally.
I really don’t want to spend $40 on a headset, I was thinking of getting the plantronics 360 though, you can find it for $30 and it seems to get pretty good reviews
What didn’t you like? I’m curious because I’m thinking of picking it up. First game I’d have bought since SF4 and MW2 a few months ago (which is ass now and I hate it and I want my money back).
I’m getting more hype with each vid I see for this game. Kart racers are great fun, and this one looks like a good one. and with custom tracks it has potential to have a long life too. I’m grabbing this and 3D Dot Games Heroes in May for sure.
Wont any USB/Bluetooth headsets work on the system? I’d barely be using it so I’m trying to stay at $30 for one.
i own this http://cgi.ebay.com/Jabra-BT125-Bluetooth-Headset-Black-New_W0QQitemZ170454330081QQcmdZViewItemQQptZBluetooth_Wireless_Products?hash=item27afdeaae1 is the one that comes with Warhawk and works pretty good, no complains. either that or the 135 are good.
My friend had the USB Logitech headset that WASN’T made specifically for the PS3, and the result was his mic was REALLY low.
I am only on chapter 9 but I’ve done 79 side quests and finished 13 out of the 16 mini-games. My goal is to finish as much as I can on my 1st play-through rather than doing it on my 2nd or 3rd. I think on the total completion list I’ve done 500 out of 615 things.
Points, thanks man!
Hey, why the hate? I’m playing this game more than anything, it’s really fun.
Just got my platinum in GoW3. Game was fun as hell. I don’t have any complaints about it really. Even the Challenges of Olympus were pretty manageable, to the point where they were kept more fun instead of veering into “pull out your damn hair and throw your controller” levels of frustration.
I’m pretty pissed off though that I’m basically being told that I can’t access my “Unearthing the Legend” documentary. I put in a ticket with Customer Service, and they basically said that it’s because I’m not browsing from a USA IP address. That’s pretty bullshit. I didn’t need a USA IP address to get the game shipped to me. It’s bad enough that they went the shitty route and made the extras all downloadable (except the artbook), but now I can’t even access one out of the three items.
Gonna go on their boards and raise hell, because nowhere on the box does it specify that I need to be in the USA to download any of the content.
So I finished Uncharted 2 the other night. I know I’m late on this but man this game was incredible. I already started over with the intent to find the treasures I missed. I’m not gonna need another shooter for a long time now.
Picked up Just Cause 2 on sale at Kmart for $44.99 while I was picking up some ethnic hair products. I put it under my TV on top of the mountain of games I already need to play.
You need to hop online with me and Rhio2k. Good times will be had.

Loving the soundtrack to Yakuza 3. I never expected to receive the Audio CD free with my copy when I bought it but I’m sure glad they put it in there.
I see your MGS logo nostalgia and I raise you
