continuing on,

-get either the G3A3 (?) or the M8000 and put double command, burst, acid, tranquilizer on it. if you can fit more then put more but don’t put heat or cold rounds on it because some enemies are immune to it. you don’t need ROF x __ either once you have double command. you can leave it on for now but once you get the p90, take it off.

the reason why i said try to get every weapon/armor that you can is because since you’re putting all that on your weapon/armor in the first run through, it would take until you get enough super tools to remove all of that from your weapon to put onto your junk weapon unless you have weapons in storage with all of those attributes, which is possible especially during the second run through.
you can use the tools you have gathered (which come a lot easier) to remove those attributes and put them on your junk weapon to have a super powerful weapon a lot earlier. the only downside will be that some of those weapons have points you might want to move, but trust me when i say its not needed. i’ll explain later.

does that make sense?

lets you have an M8000 (for example) with mad shit on there and just got the p90 or the AK-47 but you have no weapons in storage with any of the attributes you have on the M8000 on there and like 2 supertools because you didn’t try to collect everything on both playthroughs. then you’re stuck with a great weapon without great shit on there until you run through the chrysler building. its just better to do it the way i’m saying, instead.

-get the cr vest 2 out of the museum after the quake fmv. its the best armor in the regular game. put auto heal and hp up on it. with that weapon and that armor and these things on it, you’re good to go until you get the junk weapon in the ex game and the cr armor 2 on like floor 60 something in the chrysler building.

ex game

-run through it collecting all of the weapons and armor that you can.
-try leveling up by repeating fights. leave the screen to come back to fight again. its sorta tedious (not really with the whole one fight per screen thing) but it pays off by the time you get to day 5.
-day 5: don’t finish the museum. don’t do anything after you beat the t rex except to try to keep leveling up on the third floor by going back and forth through rooms. level up to 38. remember to empty your inventory when its full by going back down to the precinct
-after you’re at 38 you’re good. every new level should only take 4k or less exp which you don’t need to get in the museum. leave.
-now its time for that p90 or AK-47.

how to get junk:

-go to the chrysler building, find a floor that goes from north to south. a straightaway. go back and forth between that screen and whatever is before that. the second line on that straightaway floor should have a fight against blue birds, which give you junk. try to do this on floor 2 so that you don’t have far to go to get back to the precinct. do this over and over until you fill out your inventory. discard anything that isn’t junk. you don’t need the medicines at all.

-if you have not kept a note of how much junk you have given wayne, save before you go downstairs to discard the junk. the reason you want to save is because if you want the AK-47, its going to be a lil more tricky.

-once you get 300 junk he’ll ask you what kind of weapon you want. the p90 OR the AK-47 is the best gun in the game. the AK has far more slots but a slower ROF or whatever. the p90 holds far more bullets (starts out at 200). you will never have to reload.

my weapon and armor look like this:

**P90
attack 455 (122 + 333)
range 131 (51 + 80)
bullets 279 (200 + 79)

cyanide, burst
triple command, acid
1st strike, tranquilizer
critical up

cr armor 2

defense 372 (106 + 266)
pe energry 184 (102 + 82)
critical 111 (48 + 63)

HP Max Up, Auto Heal
Auto Cure, Attack Up
Item + 4, Anti Poision
Anti Stiffness, Anti Darkness
Anti Confusion, PE Light**

-collect EVERY treasure in every room in the chrysler building. don’t skip a floor. the treasures are random so you want to find all of the weapons and armor because, for example, only one armor in the game has anti confusion and triple command.

-i don’t care if its floor 69, you want to go all the way down to the elevator on floor 60 once you get CR armor 2 and whatever gun has triple command on it and you get the 14th rare trading card. you want to go back to wayne, get the super tool kit and put every attribute that you see in my armor and weapon above into your armor/weapon. you also want your inventory to have as many medicine 4’s, full cures, full recovers as possible. auto heal/auto cure will automatically run through these should you get hit with any status effect or take lots of damage.

-you also want to move over all the points from any weapon and armor you will no longer need.

-the chrysler is a joke if you do this. don’t if you want a challenge. if you want to mow everything over then do it. starting at level 38, you’ll be at level 99 by the time you get to the bee. the enemies on floors 60-70 give regular experience. you’ll level up after each fight, easily.

AK-47: to get this you have to let wayne choose the weapon to make. its random and you might have to reset the game a lot to get this weapon, which is why i told you to save.

it has a ton of slots and can be modified to have a lot more. it comes with a lot of stuff on it as well…some of which can only be found in the chrysler building (like counter attack, which isn’t really needed to be honest).

again, you do not need ROF x anything on the p90 or the AK. you’ll be doing like 5 x attack or more and its stupid because you’ll be killing enemies in one or two. take it off and add something else more useful instead. with triple command, for example, i could attack once, cure, then liberate lol. obviously by the time you get triple command you won’t be using it like that but just saying…

-the ex game boss is a joke if you do all of the above. i’ll post a video or two later.

one last thing…

if you want the p90 or the AK to fire like:

keep ROF x like 5 or greater on it, and attack all iirc. if you take ROF off it shoots like a semi auto gun. yes i tested this out because i wanted to go rambo on anything moving but took both of these off because it isn’t as practical. the p90 comes with a ROF x 10 on it, so…

so what is the hour counter on your PE save

or combine them

i’ll make a vid…give me a few.

so i made three vids…
the first is 6 min and just me explaining some things
the second is 6 min and me showing my method in the museum and fighting an enemy or two, explaining something
the third is 10 min and me going from the museum to the top of the chrysler and beating the ex game boss without liberate (which was really fast, honestly. the majority of that vid was getting there)

it’ll take awhile before all three are uploaded so to answer your question, my file has around 23 1/2 hours on it. 23 and a half sounds like a lot but its really not considering your average rpg takes around 30 to complete the regular game with no sidequests. pe takes about 7-9 hours the first playthrough and the second is like a new game plus so thats even shorter.

most of the time goes into collecting/running back and forth between wherever you are and wayne to dump stuff, leveling past 35 and the randomness of the chrysler passed floor 59.

Yo, debs is gdlk at any JRPG. Even if he hates it (FFXIII). But I can write memoirs on KH run-throughs.

The Versus XIII Dragoons still get me hype though.

But gadamn. I might just attend the protest at a Sony store (or the NYC hq) and confront them. Somebody is gonna get slapped. Fuck those niggas.

honestly i was gonna figure something in the hundred plus range you obv scientifically dissected the hell outta that game

good stuff debs  I’m gonna have to archive these tips for when I finally decide to play through PE.

Lemmie give it try!

In Xenogears, get to the Battle Angel Alita city in the sky.

Acquire the Dawn, Dark, and Dusk rocks.

With them, acquire the Power Crisis.

Put the Power Crysis onto Shitan, loading him up with HP+ gear, and the best sword you have.

In non-mecha combat, kill everything on-screen with only one party member in no time.

As I see it.

once you get the sword in that game, it might as well just play the ending right there.

LoL at the making demands.

Anon site (view at your own discretion):

its getting worse and worse. social responsibility and hurting a company who has taken the moral high road through these attacks is gonna need much more ingenuity on anon’s part.

i think people are making a big deal of the hacking when it’s just a common DoS attack. sony is not going to let something common like that take out their entire network lol. i was online the whole night with my ps3 and had no problems.

anyway lara croft and the guardian of light is on sale for 7.50. is it any good? i play through the demo but i’m not feeling the zoomed out isometric view. everything just seems so small.

I didn’t have a problem connecting with my PS3 either, ever. I did have a problem accessing the Playstation.com website from my PC, but the Playstation blog website worked.

yes, it is very good! totally worth the price and then some.

im outi

The only jrpg I’m gdlk at is ff8, but people hate it, so…

Oh come on man, you can be gdlk in FF9 too! It’s not even that difficult.
Then again I have no idea what is meant by being gdlk in an FF game…but I’d like to consider myself well knowledgeable in most of the stuff in FF9 and 13, my 2 fav. FFs.

I love ya, and all, Super-White-Beta, but FF8 is shit.

FF8=get to Diablos, beat him, EQ Enc-None, snooze to victory with your overpowered low level characters. :\

As I see it.

I almost know ff9 like the back of my hand. I have to commit the chocograph locations to memory and do a level 1/no exp run to be considered gdlk.

Maybe even a level 1 excalibur 2 speed run. :wow:

PS: you’re my bro, but fuck ff13

Fuck FF13?

Why would you want an AIDS/Hep/Herp combo?

Also, FF9 is the shit. (oh, what a definite article will do)

As I see it.

Have you tried fighting Omega Weapon after running through the whole game like that? You should. :badboy:

Oh, I was gdlk at ff11 too, but again, peeps have mad hate for it…

Good point.
