this is hardly big-time. the ddos stuff will get handled, but right now, i’m waiting for escalation.
sony has put up a better fight than people expected. if all that’s happening is random sites getting shut down and consumers understand that its outside sources sabotaging them, they will gain sympathy. if anon wants to hurt sony, it will have to be moneywise… PSN, being a free service, getting taken down isn’t exactly LOSING sony alot of money…

i need a lil help in deciding what i should play first and why…
i just finished beating the ex game of parasite eve not too long ago.
awhile back i started ffIX but put it down because of the lengthy load times. i also have tactics which i really didn’t start. which should i run through first and why?
or should i cop xenogears, legend of mana or vagrant story and forget about running through ffIX and tactics for now?

while i’m on the subject…parasite eve…quick thoughts:
-feels dated
-story was mad boring this time around
-the battle system is ok
-i now completely understand how the game works after leveling to 99
-i know the exact trigger areas of the museum and the chrysler building lol.
the battles are determind by screen, not by running around. certain screens have ONE trigger point and others have none. there’s only one battle per screen, iirc. you can go back to the previous screen after winning the battle and leaving to get into another battle to gain more experience points. its the only real way to level up. the chance to get into battles decreases dramatically. this becomes a problem in the museum so its best to try to level up early in the ex game so that by the time you get to the museum it won’t be as tedious.
i know the damn museum by heart because of the leveling up system. its bullshit. level up to 33 in the first game so that you can get liberate, defeat eve then start the ex game. get up to day 5, level up in the museum to 33 BEFORE taking on the two bosses before eve, then take them on. then its just a matter of taking the elevator up to the third floor, getting off and running around back and forth in the room to the north and every room after that over and over and over again.
it is extremely tedious getting to level 38 but once you do, every level passed it only takes 4k experience points. so basically from level like 35 to 36 might be around 100k experience points to get to and the monsters are VERY few and far between and it could take hours to get that many points but as soon as you get to level 38 it takes minutes to gain levels.
smh.
-cyanide is dope but you get it way too late in the game.
-the p90 is great and wasn’t that hard to get if you wait til the ex game.
-its better to level up in the chrysler after getting to level 38 because you get more bonus points AND you clear floors.
-fuck the chrysler building. floor 60…SMH. all the damn dead ends. took me over 5 min to find the exit.
-the bee didn’t have shit to say this time around when i chopped its ass with the p90. pussy.

regular game
-get as much junk as you can through the first playthrough. CONSTANTLY go back to wayne and either have him discard it (which adds to the total you need, which is 300) or put it in storage. whatever you have in storage at the police precinct carries over to the ex game. the discarded junk total carries over as well.
-the best areas to get junk are central park and the museum. maybe run through central park a few times for a junk run (fight snakes), go back to the police precinct and put them in storage or have wayne discard them then continue the game. don’t over do it because its not needed. i’ll explain later. also remember that its like one battle per screen so find an area where you fight like 3-5 snakes and just go back and forth between the two screens. when you fill out your inventory, go back to wayne to discard to junk. try to keep a note of how much junk you give him. again, don’t spend too much time doing this because its not needed.*
-try to get as much of the weapons and armor as you can through the first run through, specifically the ones with acid, tranquilizer (hospital), double command (sewer and museum) and burst. oh, and auto heal. the first time around. the reason for this is that you want to put it in storage so that it carries over to the next game. it makes it a lot easier to carry over the attributes to a better armor/weapon this way IMO. i’ll explain later.
-level up to 33, and at most 35 during the regular game. 33 for liberate and 35 just for the bp total. you don’t need to go anymore after that until the ex game.
-NEVER put the bonus points into active time or increasing the amount of items that you can carry. its not needed.
-save ALL of your full cures and full recovers in storage. you don’t need them til floor 60 and up in the ex game.
