i’m sure sony is losing TON of money on their free psn. shutting it down is actually probably saving them money.

i would put sony’s technical support team and R&D teams on the top of the list to battle with these guys. they effectively shut out what was essentially an open platform with firmware. in all honesty, i want to see a battle… when i heard this, i just pictured this epic war (replacing nerds with something more interesting), and i want to see it be a knockdown-standup war.

I was bored and decided to watch VC2 review… I didn’t know they added class promotions and a lot more shit. The class system looks so boss. Reminding me of the old SF series, but improved. I’m crying even more that such a game went to a damn portable diminishing it’s true potential. Fuck Sega/Sony whoever made the decision.

Probably. iunno. I like the game a lot though so wouldn’t exactly bother me to play through it again.
I’ve easily put 100 hours into borderlands and it barely feels like 20. Its that good.

The class system is actually annoying as fuck. You have to farm certain kinds of ‘certifications’ depending on what class a character is going to change to.

That sounds simple enough, until you realize that the certifications are essentially random item drops that may or may not drop for your character, no matter what you do with them in battle. For someone trying to Plat this game, that shit will drive you mad. There are 45+ characters in the game and there are 6 possible branches to take to get one of the 4 highest classes for your characters’ classes.

Seems like they got rid of that farming nonsense in VC3. All you have to do is buy a weapon that is the default for x or y class, equip it on a character, and instant class change :rock:

You guys need to suck it up and get a psp and a copy. I’ve logged almost 400 hours into it and still haven’t Platted it. SO.GOOD.?

Blame the niggas who didn’t buy VC1 for the subsequent psp releases. And blame Sega for their shitty marketing/advertising/hype-building.

It would be great if they did a spin-off from Borderlands that was just all about Brick. That was THE star of Borderlands for me. The dude laughs like a madman during his powered up “berserk” mode, and people burst into flames (or electricity or acid depending on his elemental power choice) when he punches them. That is the real deal to me…that’s quality entertainment.

Still, I am tired of FPS though. I would’ve enjoyed a 3rd-person view option for Borderlands. It’s strange to me that people still haven’t grown tired of that perspective. I like to see my character killing things in style. First-person view obviously doesn’t let you see all that…you are forever this stupid gun/camera (*or occasional “fist-cam” in Brick’s case) floating in the air. It is something that bugged me ever since way back in the day with Doom.

Speaking of Borderlands, I beat the game with the Soldier guy and never used anybody else. Gamestop is having a sale on the GOTY edition for $20, and I heard they have the new discs with he DLC right on it.:tup:

I’m going to buy it because I never got around to buying the DLC, and I will give my O.G. copy to one of my little cousins or something.

Fallout New Vegas CE for $30 looks boss too.

Games are so cheap now, if you aren’t fiending for that exact game, better off to wait a few months, CEs be getting cleared out too.
Killzone Hellghast is $80, not a real fan of FPSs and I own Killzone 2 and have yet to beat it, but that helmet will look sick as fuck on my shelf.:badboy:
