I am one of the 10 people in the world who has never played Resistance.
I played the first game for a little bit. Never cared for finishing it so I never bought it when I got my PS3.
Resistance 2 is the best FPS game I’ve played this gen next to Killzone 2 and Battlefield: Bad Company 1. Campaign is great, but competitive multi is where it’s at. I sunk the most amount of time online into these three FPS games by far this gen, with R2 probably being at #1 because I had to get the 10,000 kills trophy. Enjoyed every damn minute of it, too. You can tell the devs were inspired by Quake when playing R2 online.
I rented NFS: Hot Pursuit for like 2 days, it’s pretty fun but it got old extremely fast. The game just seems to drag on, so I quit about half way through because of lack of interest. It’s lacking the charm and cool track/level design Burnout had. I loved the way the night levels were designed though, if you’ve ever been driving down a country road with no street lights then you’ll shit your pants at how well-done the night levels are. Really cool, never seen a night level made this way in any racer before. I nabbed the code EA puts in their games now and unlocked the LE content for free. Thanks, Blockbuster!
Just finished Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce about 20 minutes ago. It feels more like an action game than ever before, this is by far the best DW game I’ve ever played. They added air combat, and added a bunch of things to make the game more fast-paced like dashes, triple jumps, air dashes, combo cancelling, instant weapon switching(I think this was in DW6) etc. etc. Overall it’s a pretty damn good game, too bad 1/2 the trophies are ridiculously long grinding trophies, I wouldn’t mind spending more time with this game. I did quests for Ryu, Ayane and Momiji from NGS2 and they hooked me up with their weapons, all of which play exactly like they do in NGS2! Shit was good times. Also, fuck Lu Bu.
Will buy Dead Nation as soon as I have some extra money when not spending it all on Ganja.

I just got into Infamous…was there ever any reason given why the thugs in Infamous are so fuckin’ huge when you get close to them? You use electro-restraints while they’re down, and you look like a 3 year old standing on his daddy’s chest while he sleeps. These dudes are like 15 feet tall! Looking forward to I2 if the get rid of you getting shot at by like 9 people simultaneously and from all angles every time something goes down, or you need to make your way across town.

Aside from Cole sounding like Christian Bale’s Batman, I hate getting legit swarmed everytime I’m trying to look for new cores or dead drops. Hell just exploring the city is fun as hell to me. I haven’t even really done any missions.
