You can’t use an external for any of the PS3s game data, you will only be able to put music, pictures, & videos on it. I have an OG 60GB, that I filled up several times and always had to delete game data. I ended up putting in a 320GB drive inside of it, and those can be used to hold PS3 data.

Replacing the internal HDD is easier than you think. It’s like, 3 screws.
yea, plus the fact external doesnt really help out where i need it (game downloads, dlc, game saves etc)

if somebody knows any sites where people can hold petitions to release certain games on psn could you link me there? theres still soo many games that should be released on psn (all ps2 fighting game collections by snk/capcom), games like suikoden 2, daytona usa titles and scud racer. shit, sega should bring a compilation of racing games that all play like their arcade counbterparts but look like their newer arcade counterparts (meaning daytona 1 looks like 2 etc, sega rally 1 looking like 2).

In battle is it better to use Hero Actions in major battles only? I use them every battle even though I don’t need to, I realize.
Early on, when you only have 3-4 bezels you won’t use them alot, well mostly since you don’t really have a good handle on it yet. Once you get more and have some to fall back on you’ll use it more, eventually you’ll use it pretty much every turn except when you need to re-position for a special case. That is actually the worst part about the battle system, later on you’re pretty much only using hero actions, regular attacks becomes somewhat useless.
I think I’m the only person that did not like Demon Souls. I thought it was incredibly boring.

PS3 uses a laptop harddrive (2.5). Anything from that list will work, just avoid seagate at all costs. I personally use a Samsung.

7200rpms will load 1-2 seconds faster than 5400 rpm hdd, however they do run hotter. Seriously though, anything over 500 gigs is pretty much overkill.

I gave up on Demon’s Soul. I played it a fair amount. I think I was somewhere in the 30s. I took a break and when I got the game again I was bored. I was tired of grinding. Tired of getting to a boss and then dying only to travel all that distance AGAIN and hope I don’t die this time. I had nothing to really motivate me to keep playing.
And that’s what we call a casual gamer.
I used to grind like mad years ago in every RPG I played. I grind for days on end in Star Ocean 3 to get into the 200s and above. Back when I had Dynasty Warriors 4, I pretty much had almost every character maxed out. Burned hundreds of hours into Shinobi and DMC3 on PS2 just because I enjoyed it playing it and wanted to be better.
People change. Things some people used to able do without issue can become something they no longer care to do later on. Sorry you can’t comprehend that.
You only have to grind on Demon’s Souls is you’re not skilled enough though. The roll you have in the game has startup invincibility, and you can survive just about anything with it.

I wanted things that required me to boost my stats. It’s kinda my issue when I play an RPG. I just can’t have a character that can win, I want a character that’s beast. You can’t say I can win with this sword and then show me an awesome sword that’s far superior and expect me to not want it. Problem is my will to undergo grinding weakened over the years.
And know that you don’t need to really level your shit up in Demon Soul’s. I killed a couple bosses without really leveling up much between the fights. My character at first was heavy but I made sure to make him light enough so he had pretty much what seemed liked no recovery from his roll.
