Blitzball was AMAZING!!!
I spent soo much time just playing that mini-game. Ended up stealing the best goalie for my team and signed him some ridiculous contract. Him and Tidus with Jecht Shot 3, unstoppable.
The FF8 card game was just as addicting for me aswell. Getting Leon’s card was a must.
Xenogears’s Battle Arena was just as awesome. I had a memory card dedicated to the Battle Arena, plus the fact that it also supported a 2-player mode was just crazy. Battle Arena showcased the power of Weltall-2, that gear was ultimate destruction.
All this mini-game nostalgia, where is the mini-game for FF13?
The Bouncer was a big letdown for being such a hyped launch title.
As for HDing old games, there is nothing wrong with that. Just shows the young generation to know the classics, just like how movies and books have theirs.

Anyone here played Just Cause 2? I’m watching a gameplay vid of it and it looks ok.
If you only played the GTA series to shoot people, drive by shooting, driving stunts, blowing shit up, blowing the shit out of people, and shooting more people, then Just Cause 2 is for you. JC2 does a better job with the grappling hook than capcom in both Bionic Commando (not remix) and Lost Planet.
There is a demo, so go try it out. It represents the game very well. If you do find the game enjoyable, expect to never play another game for the next few months. You can easily put 100+ hours into JC2.

Seriously. I’m not a Squeenix fan by any means but when I first heard about it it sounded great. 3 player beat-em-up in the style of Final Fight with some RPG elements and gorgeous graphics. Me and some friends rented that game in college. Finished the game I think in one sitting (about 3-4 hours). Meh~
What I’d like is a remake/update on the old PSone game, Blast Chamber. That was a fun MP game. Watching your friend(s) run to the goal, crystal in tow, only to kick the wall switch and rotate the room, and having them plummet onto a bed of spikes was totally awesome.

Just finished Vanquish on normal difficulty. Took a bit of getting used to since I suck at shooters in general, but once I got the hang of it, it was really fun. Will try to nab some more trophies on my 2nd playthrough.
Has anyone here played Bayonetta? I was thinking of picking it up. I heard the patch fixed the load time issues. But the frame rate is still bad. Is it truly unplayable?
I need a game to play over holidays and I was leaning towards Bayonetta or Heavy Rain. Something to tide me over until Mass Effect 2 comes out in January.

HR newer version works with the move. get the move. It’s a lot more accurate. I had minimal issues with some commands with regular stick but not enough to make a person ragequit.
As for BAY, this is not a game for people with different tastes towards semi-DMC games.
It’s a “challenging game”. It’s not hard at all but a handful of certain enemies will make you want to question certain dynamics of the game. Overall, on SRK, 80% of the people love this game. The other 20%, including myself, is not all that impressed. It’s a love/ hate relationship similar to SSF4. I felt this game had tons of potential but wasted too much time on being a parody of the most popular Capcom games that Kamiya worked on and was too “Cutey Honey” with very chessy music to take serious.
Most people will hype up this game a lot because of the accessories, especially the parry one, that you can buy a la RE4 merchant but I beat the game on normal without them. It was actually “more fun” without them. The extra move that you can buy are enough and are more important than accessories, IMO. the boss battles is what I really liked about this game the most and they are over the top in every since of the word.
Since it’s $20 at gamestop, new, then I say you’re not losing at all if you end up not wanting to dry hump the disc after you beat it, I took mine back to GS apparently. So yeah, buy it and most definitely buy Heavy Rain. IMO, it’s Law and Order episode meets the big screen in a epic way but it’s a video game. Plus, it has a lot of replay value. The kind of game your girlfriend will actually sit down and watch you play without nagging you. It’s that good. the down loadable is worth it too.
Without the patch the loading time(s) for the pause screen was annoying to the point of it being unbearable.
I honestly didn’t really notice any framerate issues other than one stage where you’re on a road jumping from car to car fighting enemies. It wasn’t “chugging” but it was definitely slower than the rest of the game and not really pretty.
Definitely one of my top 3 favorite games released this year.

I really dont see how people can like this game. But whatever, she’s happy which is whats important.
I can only play SB is short bursts. It’s really tedious despite me mixing shit up all the time. I would play on higher difficulties but my defense is just too low at the moment. I almost at lvl 10 in Borderlands. I keep boosting accuracy with Mordecai and damage with snipers.
