I don’t care at all about cross-game chat, the other stuff seems cool though. People I play with online that I care to converse with, I have their cell number. I also think it is dumb to split the player base if they think it is important. I will probably buy it and won’t be able to use cross-game chat because the people I play with ain’t going to pay $70 for it since they are already satisfied with PSN.

the amount of created characters already uploaded is staggering. we got the A-Team van, Crash Bandicoot, Homer Simpson, random animu, austin powers, sonic the hedgehog, the mystery machine, blazblue, sf, and ton of other shit… it’s amazing.

There’s a rumor going around now that Shadow of the Colossus and Ico are being remastered for the PS3 and will be released in early 2011. I know it’s probably fake, but it still gets my hopes up.

Soooo, I went to play my PS3 today and me disc drive is dead?!?!?! Had SSF4 in there and can’t get it out. I also can’t play any of my downloaded games 
Called Sony and of course they went straight to “send it in for repair” THis my 3rd PS3 so I’m done with them sending me refurbs that fuck up right afrer their warranty ends. Anyone know where I can still find a 40 gig PS3?

Yea I gave Sony the middle finger when mine died. I sent mine to Gopher mods and they fixed it for 60 bucks and had it back to me quickly and professionally. It hasn’t given me a lick of trouble since.

I hope they dont stop there, though. Id love to have a Jak and Daxter, Ratchet and Clank and Sly Cooper collection all in HD with a shitload of trophies to get. Id like to see a DMC and Onimusha collection too, but I really doubt thatd happen considering Capcom made a collection of the two series on the PS2 not that long ago.

Is the Shadow Tower series more fast-paced than the Kings Field series or is it mostly the same gameplay-wise? Ever since I picked up Kings Field II I`ve been on a mission to get the entire series and Shadow Tower.
Has anyone else here even played or heard of these games?

The first Shadow Tower is slightly slower paced because there is a lot to the game - loads of weapons, items, and EQ (you can equip all sorts of stuff) and everything breaks pretty easily (which is why there is so much of it laying around). Plus ST puts some emphasis on clearing areas of monsters, killing respawns until you get 100%. ST is also more linear than KF. ST:A feels more like king’s field than the original Shadow Tower. They both have a great new game + feature. ST is more difficult than KF too. They are all great though: the four kings fields, two shadow towers, and eternal ring. There is an english patch for the original king’s field, and ST:A is very import-friendly, as most of the menus are in english and you can figure everything out pretty easily. Eternal Ring is the easiest of the 7 games, its pretty linear, has good voice acting, and its emphasis is on magic spells over weapons and eq.
Got ModNation sitting next to me, but based on the complaints of 1 min+ load times & the fact that I’m still thoroughly enjoying Lost Planet 2, I can hold off on it for now. With any luck that patch UFG talked about will come out soon. Anyways, LP2 certainly has been a pleasant surprise all around. Will definitely purchase when it drops to $30 or (preferably) if they do some kind of Colonies/Gold re-release w/ extra content.

Could not agree more - I am having an absolute blast with this game. Worth every penny.

Well, go to the ModSpot and the Share Station. Do a text search for “ArtistSpotlight1” - you’ll find the Kevin Butler mod like they said (which is cool!)… but you’ll also find a SECOND mod hidden there: it’s the “Coach Kevin Butler” mod with the mustache and horrible orange shorts from the TV commercial!
