That’s really strange, not sure what to tell you. I checked with my brother and he has no problems either, and I can’t find anywhere on the net to suggest sending you to (Google failed me )
How long have you had the unit? Perhaps take it back or register a call with support and claim it as a defective unit?
Sorry I can’t be of more help. =( Good luck in whatever you decide to do with it, though.
edit: The only thing I was able to find was someone suggested updating the firmware on the HDD, but that’s obviously not ideal if you’ve got a load of stuff on it. Perhaps it’s worth a shot, though IMO it’s not particularly likely to resolve anything if the drive works in everything else without any issues.
I just bought another cech 2101a, and that one has no problems, I guess I got a defective new 2101a…pretty weird, anyhow, i’m transferring the data and I’ll be returning the defective system. Pretty dam lucky too cause that was the last ps3 that Frys had in stock.
If anyone preordered Modnation Racers from GameStop…did you get the $10 credit via email yet?
I was already charged, so I assumed they sent out my copy, but no voucher for the $10.
hopefully you guys don’t mind me doing a little bit of self promotion in here, but i did a digital pastel drawing of my mas stick and a bunch of ps3 games:
Do you mean it just came out or you heard about it? Cause behemoth is CRAAAAZZZZZYYYY slow about programming that for PSN. It’s been in development for over a year… seriously.
Yeah, it’s been at that price at best buy for like 2 weeks now. Definitely worth the price.
Rumors sugggest for $70 a year, you get Cross-Game Voice chat, Playstation Protection Plan, one or two free PSN games a month, discounts on PSN items, exclusive DLC, rotating access to PS1 Classics and Minis, Cloud-based save backups, 1 hour trials of full games, and background autopatching.
Background autopatching? I’m guessing that would be firmware updates and like things done while you play, right? For 70 dollars that’s not too bad of a deal; considering that are significantly more expensive, not bad at all.
