HOW thE HELL do critical hist work???

cause picture this:

i had a near full health, 6X calm midned blissey. i was figthing seiken’s choice speced heatran that had ARLAEDY USED OVERHEAT and lowered its special attack two levels.

both of our last pokemon. im obviously about to go for the final hit, right?

the next hit he criticals me - and brings me down to 25 hp. WHAT???

critical hits must ignore stat changes…

Yes indeedy, they do ignore stat changes. A lucky critical was my only way to win at that point, since you already KOed all my physical pokes.

heh, well even ignoring the stat changes, that was a very impressive hit. what a badass heatran.

thats also the first thing that clued me off that it was you, seeing heatran use hidden power, cause i remembered your posts about it a while back.

something else new i learned today agaisnt jeron : If you use u-turn (non choice banded poke), and u-turn into a choice-banded pokemon who ALSO has u-turn… you have to use u-turn again on the new poke=(.

My Heatran’s actually got the lowest Special Attack IV of all my Special Sweepers…but it doesn’t really make as much of a difference as I thought it would. Would be nice if the Hidden Power was a bit stronger, though…

I got kinda sick of catching it over and over, so I settled with a somewhat less-than-perfect Heatran with good defenses. Still kicks ass, despite that one slightly lacking IV.

Well the area’s I would go depends if I am rushing to get the job done,

Gastly at the ghost mansion gives 1 point, but Kadabra at victory road gives 2. BUT, gastly ALWAYS appears at mansion. With another poke game in the advance slot you can find haunter and gengar - they give 2/3 points towards special atk. - making this a great place for training poke in special atk.

The tower where you find strength at has nothing but zubat and gastly during the day. Zubat gives 1 point in speed and golbat gives 2, so special sweepers love this place.

I train my walls on Iron Island and the route just above Volkner’s gym. Tenta gives 2 points in Sp.D and graveler 2 points in Def.

My attack sweepers are trained in the snow, sneasel for speed and machoke and snover for atk.

Anybody want to BATTLE?

Wow, thanks for the info. I will use this to my advantage and beat all of my friend’s asses and get wins on my record and make it so my friend doesn’t brag he is the best any more. Because he is an a-hole.

But thank you again and I will post up my info as soon as I am done with my training.
