haha, that whale thing was my kyogre with hella wrong EVs. i think im gonna get to retraining that fool today. thanks for the tip, constructive criticism is always appreciated. btw, should i expect to face cresselias and/or a lot of other legendaries and dragons during wifi play all the time? ive been trying to build a team of non-ubers, but i need to know if that shit will fly in regular play.

nah wasnt a mistake, i figured rollout is my best chance i had vs empoleon, especially sicne you only had surf against me. by turn #4 with huge power ability, from my experience using azmaurill his rollout kills even steels in one hit. but damn! empoleon is azurillās worst enemy =(. out of everything you coulda had as your last guy, that was the one thing that i didnt want. very good game.
ive considered several times getting rid of rollout for sleep talk (Since its hard finding a 4th move for that poke, he begs for thunder punch), but its seriously saved my ass MORE than once, believe it or not. so its too hard a choice =(

alright, i have what is hopefully my last questions on EVsā¦
basically the way i take you get 510 total for your stats, divide however many into 4 and thats how many extra statpoints you get? so when you do a 252/ 252/ 6 split the 252 should = +63 in whichever stat?
if thats how it does workā¦ does exp share cut the EVs you get in half like it does exp? because iāve been counting it for the full amount, and currently my croagunk has 168 spd EVsā¦ meaning he should hav an extra 42 spd?
at lvl 36 he has 67 spdā¦ does that make his base speed 25?? heās jolly nature, so spd should rise fastestā¦ why would that be the lowest base stat? is my calculations all wrong or what?
a few things:
-The nature of the pokemon is important. From what youre saying its likely that your croagunk has a natuer that subtracts his speed. Always make sure it has a good nature before training, thats the first step. sorry they had to make it so complicated, it sucks starting over =(
-no exp shaer doesnt cut the EVs in half
-and finally, your EV calculations are correct, however note that the EVs divided by 4 calculation is for level 100 pokemon. if theyh ave 252 EVs, theyll gradually accelerate in that stat until level 100, when theyll have +63. when you battle on wifi, your pokemon is automatically leveled to 100 and thats when youri calculations will be accurate.

but its not his nature, jolly natured pkmn gain speed quick and sp atk slowā¦ thx for clearing it upā¦ iāll just have to wait until heās done and get him online to see how he fairs and if i trained him right.
ah, well if hes jolly, just keep in mind hes not that fast to begin with. but if its actually your lowest stat, even lower than his defenses (which are supposed to be lower), it could be his speed IVs, which is the most unfortunate part of the game =/
