When Hitmonlee’s sprite is ripped, I will be a happy man.
I was shocked when i saw that Politoed got Drizzle and Poliwrath got Swift Swim. I always wanted to use Wrath, but he was so damned slow. As a Rain Dance man, I am very pleased with this news.

So what GF did:
Import a bunch of DPP sprites for some pokemon (Gyara looks the exact same from PT, lake trio look like DP)
Give others really shitty fanart looking sprites (SWAMPERT)

True, but I’m going to cut GF some slack considering they had to animated 650-ish sprites (not including gender/region/forme differences), and give us entirely new backsprites for everything that don’t just show them from the waist up. In all it probably ended up being several times more work than usual. It’s just one frame anyway; the D/P sprites were just used as the base for most of them.
Moltres back sprite animated will look cool, I can already visualize it!
feraligatr and Tyranitar look really bad. They should have gone with their Platinum sprites
