Gengar and Focus Blast = gdlk vs Whitney
I had more trouble with Clair, but then I pulled a BS strat.
Gengar use Thunder on Gyara, OHKO
Switch to Alakazam vs Dragonair
Calm Mind, get para
Cheri Berry > para, Synch gives it to Dragonair
Calm Mind, Dragonair is paralyzed
I then proceed to OHKO Dragonair x2 and Kingdra with Psychic
Yea first playthorough itās gotta be pretty straightforward, not unless youāre sending eggs over or something.
Man, I like had to reset my game 20 times just for an adamant totodile (in which I STILL donāt have yet!). I want at least some professionalism during ingame training
OK guys i buckled and bought the game after not playing a DS game or pokemon game for years.
i just got into Azalea town and my Totodile is lvl 19. am i over/under leveled?
questions!
i remember something in the back of my head to stop my pokemon from evolving. should i hold off on his evolution? if yes, until what level?
what is all this talk about āresettingā. like someone said for an adamant totodile, or shiny pokemon. why reset? this is very confusing to me, i just started the game and went with it.
is there any point in catching a pokemon early game and investing training into it, or should i just stick with my togepi and totodile and wait until later?
iām very puzzled about my progress and i donāt want to mess up my training. can someone give me some tips ? thanks!
Gonna say overlevelled, but considering Iām just about to head to Jasmine (5th badge) with a team in their low 20s⦠thereās a good chance Iām underlevelled and you might be just slightly overlevelled.
Only reason to not evolve is if the evolution canāt learn a certain move that the pre-evo can. See Arcanine and the severe lack of Flamethrower and Crunch, both of which Growlithe can learn. All of the stat related concerns were found to be myth long ago and can be undone completely now.
wanting a better nature. Certain natures affect stats to a degree. A give and take. One stat down 10% but another stat up 10%. Not really that big of a deal when it comes to plowing through the game, but if you go to try and battle people, might make the difference. Itās something that can be remedied by breeding thoughā¦
Almost without exception, sticking with one or two pokes and power-levelling the fuck out of them will be easier to plow through the game than trying to keep the levels balanced between all 6.
So Iām planning on leveling like 5 pokemon to get through the game, Iām guessing thatās a horrible idea? Right now Iām at the lighthouse with Lvl28 of Quilava/Gengar/Alakhazam/Golem/Dratini ;⦠I guess thatās pretty bad then yeah lolol. I guess Iāll try to stick with 2 somehow ā¦
Togetic once you max out Togepiās happyness (which is actually really easy to do) and then it can evolve again to Togekiss if you give it a dawn stone.
I am loving the new safari zone. I just spent about an hour or so in it catching everything I possibly could pre-national dex. Itās soooo much better w/o the 500 step count.
I managed to catch everything but a Kangaskhan and Larvitar.
Yeah, and itās Togekiss that gets the fun of Confu/Para/Flinch. Such an annoying pokemon evolves into one of the most obnoxious setups in the game. The only thing more obnoxious is Skarmbliss and that takes two.
Well, itās not a BAD idea, itās just more work. In the end, it gives you more options in the type advantage department, which, depending on how overlevelled your main is, can make the E4 far easier, but you spend WAY more time levelling 5-6 opposed to 1 or 2.
Cool thanks. So Iām just going to level my Gengar and Alakhazam since I hate my starter pokemon and Dratini levels too slow⦠Hopefully those 2 can make it through teh game =(
However, I like catching shinies legit too but there is always 1 shiny I will hack and make legit perfect. Shining Heracross. FUCHSIA BEETLE POWER! He just looks too awesome and I love Heracross.
also, are there ghost pokemon in the Sprout Tower in Violet City? i remember some townie saying there were. i looked around for like 20 minutes but only found rattataās =b
