G/S/C is the only generation i have yet to play…lol

I do have to say that I never was impressed at the pokemon introduced in the 2nd generation. I only love Lugia, tyranitar, the Chikorita evolutions and kingdra

With the 1st gen being the best, i’d put Hoenn 2nd and a toss up last slot for Sinnoh and Johto

Hai guys. Is platinum worth picking up? How is it different to the originals (bar lots of new pokemon) I used to be mad on pokemon and played red, yellow and silver. Kinda stopped after this. Managed to collect 150 in red and I do have a Mew (legitimiately). Would love to play it again but I don’t have DSi so means I’d have to get one to be able to play.

Oh and can you trade pokemon between old (red, yellow and silver) to platinum? I wan’t my mew :frowning:

you can’t trade with the old school games

Diamond/Pearl/Platinum can only be used with Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald and Fire Red/Leaf Green

but hell ya its worth it. The level of interactivity is pretty awesome. Althought i much prefer the Emerald Battle Frontier (it felt so GRAND compared to this)

If you have a gameboy advance, i’d reccommend playing those previous games first (Fire Red or Leaf Green then Emerald)

Well, I finally bought Platinum. Took me nearly an hour to start playing it because I couldn’t decide on a name. :rofl:

Yeah, it was a TTDS, but the weird thing is that it won’t load the TTDS menu and show a blank screen, it just doesn’t recognize it’s there. And to know it loaded up the games so fast.

I feel like I’m the only person who liked RSE the most out of all the generations.

Team Galactic, well cyrus, is “Lets create a totally new universe”

I LOVE Magma and Aqua battle themes and I also love the legendaries their involved with. Prehistoric giant pokemon is a really cool idea…Groudon is basically Godzilla (awesome) and Kyogre is like a Megalodon (I love Great White Sharks and their ancestry)

EDIT: Rayquaza is also DOPE…fuckin love his shiny version (which i have…spent almost a week trying to capture that fucker)

I care little for Dialga/Palkia/the god pokemon…i keep forgetting his name. Giratina is cool though. I just hate the fact that the pokemon legendaries are just a dime a dozen now…GOD pokemon now? Really? Its lame to me

Even though I can feel a lot of nostalgia from from playing any of the Kanto games, I usually feel more nostalgic from Johto because I loved the Park in Goldenrod City. Then I personally liked water routes, so I had a lot of fun with RSE.

I am slightly disappointed with the Platinum frontier…it just doesn’t feel very grand. In Emerald i felt as if the Frontier was the greatest shit ever since it had that grand theme

That’s what makes Cyrus so interesting. He doesn’t care about Team Galactic than say Commander Saturn does, but I agree the overabundance of legendaries now is pretty absurd. It probably wouldn’t be if most of them weren’t the same damn type, it’s tough being a “pure” psychic nowadays. That would probably work in Kanto G but not D/P.

So does anyone else feel like their team just isn’t complete without a Pokemon of a specific type? I know my team feels kind of lacking if I’m not packing a Fire-type Pokemon at one point or another.
