Vaporeon: Tanketty tank tank tank holy awesome tank, defines “Bulky Water” like nobody’s business and provides Wish support to your entire team while Baton Passing MASSIVE Substitutes.
Umbreon: Tanks the way Snorlax used to, runs Wish support, Curses to raise Defense and STAB Pursuit/Payback while sitting on a massive Special Defense stat, can Baton Pass off all those massive stat gains.
Jolteon: Extremely fast Special Attacker with a mediocre movepool, usually also runs Baton Pass support.
Espeon: Jolteon with the Speed and Special Attack stats switched and a slightly weaker STAB (with less immunities to it), used more often for Baton Pass support.
Leafeon: Above-average speed physical attacker with a mongoloid Defense stat and something to the degree of like 2 actual halfway decent attacks.
Glaceon: Froslass but with the Speed and Defense basically switched and without any sort of spikes/anti-spin support (instead replaced by BP and Wish).
Flareon: Extremely shitty physical attacker, do not be fooled. Slow as shit-- in fact, he’s got the same speed as Charmander. Doesn’t learn a single goddamn useful move save for Overheat which uses his weaker attacking stat. Avoid at all costs.
Pretty much avoid Flareon, Glaceon, and Leafeon not unless you’re feeling bold.
Espeon and Umbreon are useful, but nothing compared to Jolteon and Vaporeon.
Jolteon is godlike
What’s a good moveset for him? currently… I have shockwave, double kick?, pin missle, roar
I actually find Leafeon useful, passes SD good, and if it actually has a use for SD because it hurts to get hit by a SD’d Leaf Blade. It also can roar out other Phazers, or put them to sleep if your lucky.

I say Glaceon is above Leafeon…STAB Ice beams can hurt plus a choice set can be decent.
Flareon (like many physical fire pkmn) Badly wanted a physical STAB move to use…fire fang doesn’t cut it…
Jolt likes Thunderbolt…(use thunder if you run a rain dance team) or even Charge beam for a special attack boost)
ideally a hidden power to avoid being walled by a ground type (HP ice or grass) but shadow ball can work as well. many jolt are simply baton passer pkmn
I’ll use thunderbolt. Shockwave is currently on him because i accidentally, when drunk, made him forget thunderbolt for flash for some reason when he was still in my leaf green. other than his moveset, he’s my strongest pokemon. problem was that i had just caught suicune when i did it, and i hadn’t saved yet… so either lose suicune or lose thunderbolt.
Not that moveset, Its really bad.

There is little to no reason to use Choice item on Glaceon, Its movepool is horrendous. Well lets further that, There is little to no reason to use it to begin with.
Baton pass Jolt is a good idea, no reason to use anything else for jolt tbh. Raikou i s better at special sweeping than jolt is.
that I disagree with…shadow ball/ice beam/HP fighting covers everythingand in the final slot use a support move (wish and switch out?) or sleep talk to absorb sleep. it’s speed isn’t that bad and a 130 stat in Sp Atk? c’mon! scarf it and IMO can be an unexpected surprise. 
of course…anyone knows I try not to run many standards…
If you’re running a hail team, Glaceon has the strongest STAB Blizzard in the game. Shame about his speed, though.

Glaceon’s not even slow enough to justify Trick Room, that’s the second-worst part. All the REAL Trick Roomers are like half Glaceon’s speed, and the actual worst part is that Gyro Ball (the most common attack in Trick Room) does Super Effective to Glaceon.
