well…for example…why go to the weakest fire move ember when flamethrower is the same but MUCH stronger? are you unsure of how strong moves are?

umm…you get by default 15PPs for flame thrower! and houndoom isn’t meant to be a tank…it can die in one hit. you won’t have time to conserve anything!
the game CAN be slowed down…but certain pkmn who can stall well…how about you see some of the vids I have up on youtube? you may get some idea of what you can really do with certain pkmn…
again…anything specific you’d like to build? a moveset?
I don’t really have anything specific in mind. That team was built around the best i currently have, non uber or legendary. My other team was built up around that, with actuall ev’s and stats to bring out the best of each one…but still inherently flawed.
Outside of a good Spiritomb, a good wall, and a psycic type of some kind (because those are always fun), I really have nothing specific in mind, and am open to any/all suggestions…really.

the overused garchomp/tyran pair youll find most of the times
i dont have a DS but just yesterday i started playing on shoddy and damn, that thing works really well. I built a team just because and it didnt turn out to be garbage. i used:
crobat (hypnosis, whirlwind, roost, aerial ace) as leader
steelix
snorlax (crunch really helped against spec sweepers like gengar)
salamance
weavile
vaporeon (wish, sub, baton pass, surf)
A Garchomp, Gyarados, Salamence, Electrivire, Infernape, basically anything that falls in the OU listings that exceeds at a incredible speed or setup. Gengar has sweeping ability, even some BU pokemon in Aerodactyl and Alakazam. How they fit on the team determines how they’ll be able to sweep effectively and your overall ability as a trainer.
I do have an extra spiritomb I can spare and an electivire as well if you’d like them
… I could use an electivire. I have fire red and no matter how much I farm elekids I can’t get the electro-booster. Shit sux.
And maybe I don’t wanna do all that crap to get spiritomb either. Heading out right now, will be on later? I don’t even know if I can get wifi in my house anymore since my own router is busted. If you still have them later I’m interested.
I might be able to breed you up a 3rd gen starter if you want a more fair trade.
I will say though electivire doesn’t have ice punch…if you are ok with that?
Vire without Ice Punch is not very good. He’s better off breeding, and I think only Vire can gain the motor boost. Elekid’s and Electabuzz’s ability is static I believe in F/R - but since Electabuzz cannot evolve in F/R, you might as well breed one and transfer.

There’s like only two pokemon that learn Ice Punch in F/R. The guy you trade for Jynx or the fighting dojo’s Hitmonchan.
