Hell yeah that’s how it should be done. This is exactly what I’ve always wanted out of an action-RPG. Words cannot describe how much anticipation I’ve had for Kingdoms of Amalur. They have my money guaranteed, basically.

It’s refreshing to see so much thought, love and preparation was put into the fighting system and subsystems instead of the random “mash til it works” mentality that DMC, God of War and countless others have made the normal.

There are a lot of moves and skills in DMC, yeah. But you only need about 5% of them to actually beat the game unless you’re playing on the hardest difficulty.
Who plays on anything but the hardest diff? No one worth talkin to on the subject that’s who XP.
A lot of people. Also, I understand playing on the hardest difficulty is a way to “get the most out of your game” or get the most of your money, or whatever. But some people simply don’t care about that and just play games to play them.
I was being sarcastic. Anyway that doesn’t change the fact that lumping the DMC series as a whole under that banner is still really dumb. Just because people choose not to engage the system completely doesn’t mean it’s a bad system. If anything it shows how flexible it is.
