I’ve recently started playing wirelessly on PSN because PSN is ass, and using wireless never made a differences.
But got a new router, BAM, got super shitty. At first I thought it was PSN being PSN. 2 months later, I FOUND OUT IT’S MEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
I play fighters on Xbox Live only, fuck playing those games on PSN. Shit is impossible.
Basically, I just want Dark Souls to play better online.
You play Wirelessly on Xbox too? Keep in mind most Xbox games are P2P as well with the same netcodes. All PSN/Live do is matchmaking between you and your opponent or find you a server. From there, it’s up to the connection of you to your opponent(and his connection to you) or your connection to the server you just joined.
99% of games on both systems are P2P multiplayer, only certain games have actual dedicated servers(Resistance 2, Killzone 2, Killzone 3, Battlefield games, etc.) So when people say Live or PSN is better than the other, I facepalm IRL.
Try playing a fighter or P2P game like Dark Souls with your ethernet cord connected directly to the modem --> PS3/Xbox. I guarantee you’ll see a difference in all the games you play regardless of the console you’re using.
They both are the same. It’s just more people use wireless with ps3, and like most online players download a bunch of shit or do shit that eats bandwidth
No, motha’ fucker!
Quit putting words in my mouth. I never said I played Xbox Live on wireless, shit! I only pointed out Xbox Live >>>> PSN when it comes to net play.
Gawh, didn’t even bother reading the rest of the post due to some strange mis-understanding at this point now.
You obviously don’t have an Xbox and PS3 to play net working together.
And if you do, then I’m sorry that your brain is too slow to comprehend the differences between 10 frames a lag and that of no lag.
If you get Sacred 2, then make sure to get the EU pc version. It is the only one that is compatible with the expansion Ice and Blood. You can order Sacred 2 Gold off of quite a few UK sites, which includes the game and the expansion.
Is there any reason now to buy a game for $60?, unless you are actually fiending for it?
I’m picking up Sonic Generations & Rayman for $30 each. Didn’t want to pay the $50-$60 brand new price, since I have not time to play them right now.
Pick up that LOTR:War in the North. It’s a good game, not perfect by any means but I enjoyed it and beat it. It took me around 11-13 hours, and it has NG+ so I will run through it again some time. It has 3 player Co-op as well.
It has leveling skills plus loot, everything you could want in an Action/RPG.
I would go this route but it seems I’m right under the minimum system reqs. Some sites say 128MB video card, others say 256. I kind of would prefer it on console, though.
I’m looking forward to Torchlight 2 and Path of the Exile, but I don’t think I can run the latter. When does Torchlight 2 drop? That’s exactly what I want from Sacred 2, a Diablo 2 ripoff. If it’s a decent ARPG I’d be happy.
I never buy games on release, though I do make a few exceptions when the game releases at 40$ or is something like Dark Souls. Every new game released in the past few months had its prices cut 50% on numerous occasions from all these holiday deals that you’d be an idiot to buy a game on release instead of wait a few weeks/months for a crazy deal to pop up somewhere.
I actually complete forgot about the LOTR game, I’ll definitely check it out eventually, but it seems to be really short for an ARPG.
Yeah there was only 1 match where it lagged for a few seconds then went back to being smooth. FRANK FUCKING WEST!+whatever random characters/teams I pick.
WTF, never mind about me finding out how to port forward on my PS3.
There’s so many methods, it’s retarded.
Is there a reliable consist method of port forwarding?
Heard about the DMZ thing. I put my IP address that my PS3 provided in system info, still nothing. I was told you DON’T have to go wired in order to do the setup, so I dunno…
Don’t know why the wireless is so shitty, maybe it’s just a bad wifi device on the PS3.
I’m like 20 feet at most from my router, and everything else that’s going wirelessly is working perfectly fine (like all 2 things).
EDIT: Doing more research, no one seems to have a REAL way in forwarding ports on the PS3.
Going hard-wire, everything is fine. Once I go wireless, it turns to shit.
Everything was fine when I first got the PS3 to go wireless, then all of a sudden it just sucks REALLY bad. Getting only 3 up / 1 down. Normally I get about 40 up / 10 down.
Other wirelessly devices work perfectly fine in the house.
