Based on what was put out there about the review, the game pretty much addresses all the complaints everyone had about it from the linear nature of the game, the actual combat, and the story. So whats the problem? If a game improves significantly upon its predecessors why knock a magazine for giving it a 40/40?
I wasn’t referring to this one, i was referring to sub par, boring ass previous one that they gave a perfect score to and called the best game ever made. That seriously damages their credibility and in a lot of peoples eyes, certainly mine, and doesn’t make what they have to say about it’s sequel matter much.
^ I definitely agree. They give the worst game in the series a perfect score? What the fuck.
See: MGS4, GTAIV. Perfect scores at a bunch of sites, arguably the shittiest games in their respective series.
Reviews are terrible and no one should bother with them. I’ve played games that have 50’s and 60’s overall scores on Metacritic and had more fun with them then games in the 80-90’s range. It sucks that with the sheep mentality a lot people have that reviews dictate what they play and buy, and it kills off some of these lower scored games that deserved more attention and sales than they get.
You are so naive it’s not even funny.
You motherfucker.
But review scores are essentially based on opinion of one persons playthrough and experience of the game. You could make a argument for a game like MGS4 to get the perfect score it did. Same with GTAIV but with that game i don’t think people were really feelin it till the DLC episodes.
So i mean people are gonna like what they like regardless of review scores.
It’s pretty fuckin hilarious if you ask me.
Who is Rainbow Flowers?
Methinks I might already know.
I’m not saying it applies here but as far as most reviews go nowadays a lot of people get too hung up on a number instead of reading the actual review itself. I know of some people who would lose sleep if certain games got like a 7/10 or something.
Catherine is $18 used on gamefly today, good luck getting a copy tho lol.
I think it does apply here. As you said people see the score and immediately throw they’re reaction without even doing the reading. Thats whats honestly bugging me with this situation about perfect game scores. Its like people don’t take time out to ready why the person doing the review gave it the score.
Yea I wrote a long ass rant a while ago about how the ratings part of reviews should be done away with. The review itself tells you all you need to know, the number/star/arbitrary rating system is a distraction at best and tells you absolutely nothing about the product anyway.
Hoping MNR gets a Steampunk or Futurescape racetrack DLC soon. I can imagine the gdlk possibilities.
Racing to Mega Man 2 music while driving as a Mega Man 9 character = bliss.
I feel bad for those who spent that much on that game.
Meow.
You gonna be in the arcade today, trollzerwolf?
Also, I think Rainbowflowers just exposed himself. I got you now, nigga.
Streaming umvc3 online for the time being. Taking requests on what game to play. PS1, PS2, and PS3 only. Might pop in Nightshade soon if there are no requests.
i’ll watch nightshade once you get to the moving cars part.
Yea, I’m working there tonight. Not sure if I’ll put the stream up but if I do it’s whatever ;o
Meow.
What’s special about that part?
Also, Nightshade is up.
Oh yeah Famitsu gave XIII a 39/40.
