Oh man yea you HAVE to watch Bebop. If you liked Champloo then you need to see Bebop to. They’re Soul Brothas.
you mad.
Nah, Champloo is just diet Bebop.
Also FF13 was fun. I can’t wait for 13-2. I’m gonna level up my Pokemon so hoard.
(Looks real close at the billboard)
“PS3 exclusive you won’t believe”
Mmhmm. I see what they did there.
PS3 exclusive everyone wants: Legend of Dragoon 2. Or a prequel where you play as Dart’s dad/Rose and shit back in the day in that war they were having.
I’ve hated every FF past 10. It’s sad to have been with a series since your youth, a series you’ve loved for years, just to watch it become the complete fucking garbage that it is now. The only thing I buy that’s by Square Enix are remakes or Eidos developed games. I want the PSP remake of FFIV, it looks great. I have the DS version but I didn’t like it as much as the original, the PSP version looks to be the definitive version of FFIV+it has the after years which I never played.
I beat the game on the hardest difficulty mashing square and pointing the analog stick in the direction of the enemies. I tried to do fun and creative stuff with the combat, but it’s just not there. There’s no depth to it at all. I enjoyed the game because everything else was good, the characters, gadgets, gliding around, some of the stealth elements, the story, etc. Those aspects were what kept me playing.
Correct me if i’m wrong but wasn’t FFXIII supposed to have a good chunk of the stuff that XIII-2 is gonna have but got put to wayside( I remember Square saying something about DLC for the game) because they decided to go multiplatform?
i remember the drama complaining about multiplatform ff13 caused way back, so i’ll keep it brief: but i really hope they don’t go multiplatform with 13-2. xbox 360 ff13 was one of the ugliest things i have seen in a while, it looked like a ps2 game that was trying too hard.
have any of you ps+ subscribers delved into hydrophobia much? i haven’t gotten far, and it is obviously a rip off game of every good game in the past 2-3 years, but from what i’ve played, it isn’t bad… i haven’t gotten any powers yet though…
yup, exactly how i felt. i also like the riddler puzzles!
im outi
Roberth
Hate to burst your bubble but its going multiplatform unfortunately. I think Versus is the only one (For Now) thats exclusive.
Combat depth is shit you don’t have to get into if you don’t want to, and you don’t need to apply it until the new game+. It isn’t THE best combat engine in any game ever, but it is the best by far in an open-world game, and better than what most others get (looking at you uncharted).
I think Versus will stay exclusive.
People putting down Batman’s combat system reminds me of my stance vs anything Dynasty Warriors or akin to. Those series you can just beat by mashing square. Up your defense enough so that your character cannot be stopped by hit stun and GGPO. Dudes don’t even fight you. They rush and stand there. Your allies just dance in place. While not the best, Batman at least has options and can mix things up. Another super hero game that had options was Spider-Man Web of Shadows. I kinda liked it but quit around the part when he has to break into whatever major prison. It wasn’t good enough to keep me playing and Spidey sounded like a bitch.
Batman also suffers from what plagues the DMC games: enemies with a lack of aggression. I knew from playing Batman AA that you could pretty much bulldoze your way through combat not giving a damn. It’s pretty hard to die in the AA and AC. That being said, if I wanted to smack around some thugs for kicks, I’d rather play Batman AC than any DW installment or anything like DW.
Ohhhhh, CAN-A-DAAAAAAA…
you screwed.:
Report: EB Games to blur NEW / USED games distinction - AfterDawn
^ Regardless of the sticker color at a Gamestop, the game is used if it’s not shrink-wrapped, white sticker or not. 99.9% of people who shop at Gamestop don’t give a shit either way.
All DW games have basic combat, they’ve always been that way. Until Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce, that game’s combat is pretty sweet. They actually added different combos, air-dashes, super jumps, all kinds of weird shit to keep it interesting and fun.
Me too, having hidden collectibles in a game that are actually fun to go for instead of a chore to find is always a plus in a game.
I always want combat depth to keep things interesting and fun. Doing the same combo over and over is not fun. Again, I tried to mix things up, but you can’t, really. Uncharted is a third person shooter, the focus of the gameplay is on that aspect and the light platforming elements. Combat in that game shouldn’t be anything special or even expected to be good at all. I look at the “combat” in Uncharted as I do a melee swing in an FPS or something. It’s kind of just “there” to be there. An afterthought.
XIII-2/Versus being exclusive or not won’t save it from being garbage. Square Enix has never developed a good game. I miss Squaresoft.
Problem with enemy aggression is that the enemy AI tends to go in the direction from good to just plain unfair. The Ninja Gaiden series is supremely guilty of that shit. I don’t mind an enemy that can give me a challenge but don’t fuck me over in the process and have the enemy do dumb stuff that kills me for no damn reason.
But see the catch 22 with that statement is that its more of a personal opinion than fact.
It definitely is a personal opinion. Why’d you have to quote me before I ninja-edited it a bit?
Every FF I’ve played after X has been terrible in comparison to older games in the series. X-2, XII and XIII were all shit. SMFH at those games.
No, they weren’t shit, you THOUGHT they were shit.
Your internet opinions do not encompass the entirety of the gaming population.
I JUST RATIONALIZED YOUR ASS. HOW YOU LIKE THAT SONIC.
PS - FFX-2 was awesome. Berserker, Dark Knight, Chemist all day.
You’re damn right I thought they were shit.
AS FOR THE BOLDED, I DON’T LIKE THAT SHIT AT ALL, VS. PLAY ME IN MAHVEL 3. I GOT NEW TECH THAT WILL CAUSE YOU TO SHED TEARS OF HAWKEYE!
FFX-2 story wise was utter shit fan service. Game play wise it’s one of the best.
FF12 is still one of my favorites though. Best gameplay and World map.
The only problem was, you got Gambits at retarded times that made no sense.
