The Official PLAYSTATION® Thread: E3 - PS4 Pro November 10th $399

So i take it you didn’t like the No More Heroes games? Cause thats pretty much what this game is with zombies. The trailer with the music kinda came off like Godhand as well. I see this game as a surprise hit.

You guys do know that Lollipop chainsaw is by Suda 51 right?

I like Suda 51s games. The No More Heroes games are good (flawed bu good) and I absolutely loved Shadows of the Damned which is as tongue in cheek as Lolipop Chainsaw is looking to be. Shadows of the Damned was a tribute to old horror movies like Evil Dead and From Dusk till Dawn and it was wonderful for it. Lolipop Chainsaw looks to be a tribute to Grindhouse movies, sexploitation flicks, and old zombie movies. The gameplay videos I’ve seen look like it controls well and responsibly. Should be fun.

Rugal be hatin for no reason.

Suda 51 is awesome. I played Killer 7 back in the day but don’t remember it at all, but I bought No More Heroes: Heroes Paradise near release and loved it. I bought Shadows of the Damned a couple months ago too and it was also fucking awesome, Shinji Mikami helped out with the game(I know everyone here knows who he is.) Great third person shooter. The game runs buttery smooth too, and is some of the best use of Unreal Engine I’ve ever seen.

I’ll buy Killer 7 someday. I need to find it.

Suda 51’s games have not disappointed for me…so it’s a buy for me.
So yeah…screw you.

I’m pretty pumped for KOF XIII, was never a big fan of the MVC tag style and just prefer the 1 on 1. Console release is looking solid from the what the video posted on SRK frontpage shows. Training mode, and actually showing you what the Combo looks like by having CPU do it. I know it doesn’t have spectator mode which sucks, but spectator mode is worthless if the online gameplay is bad. Here’s to hoping online is decent.

They announced it a few days ago.

I’m not sure if someone posted this yet, but it I saw this article about Metal Gear Solid 5 on the Game Informer website.

“This is my last one, I swear” - Kojima.

Ugh. I want ZOE3 Kojima.

True that. I couldn’t stop playing once I started.

Get on Craigslist with your games though. I trade stuff I beat regularly and rarely have to buy any games I want. Granted it takes some effort and time you come out ahead if you are a poor ass college student. Just my experience.

Not really that excited. The series is done in my eyes and doesn’t need anymore games.

Agreed. MGS is done. Let it die Konami/Kojima.

Suda’s games definitely are not for everyone but goddamn am I looking forward to Lollipop Chainsaw.

I guess I’m in the minority when I say that I’ve never enjoyed a single Suda game. (though you’d swear it was meant to be the majority, with the pseudo-hipsterisms that seem to encompass his shit)

Meh. MGS5 is whatever. I stopped caring after Solid for PSX.
Sons of Liberty was just…ugh. Dumb.

I like the story in 3 but I hated the gameplay.
I still have my copy of 4 sitting on my shelf. Still in the shrink wrap. What I’ve heard about it and seen of it though makes me not want to play it. All the stuff I use to love about MGS now I hate.

Haven’t played any of the PSP ones and I don’t really plan to.

Also. +1 for Lollipop Chainsaw hype. I am a fan of Suda’s games and this game just looks silly and off the wall fun.

/hipster douche apparently

The MGS5 announcement does nothing for me, because I thought they were ending the series after part 4. If they bring back Solid Snake again, it’ll just make the events of MGS4 meaningless.

MGS4 doesn’t need any help in being meaningless.

as an FYI shadows of the damned isnt technically a suda51 game, the main director behind that game is Massimo Guarini
